🐾 How to Set Your Puppy Up for Grooming Success- spotlight on this handsome boy, Finley 😍

Bringing your puppy to the groomer early and often is the secret to a lifetime of stress-free spa days! Here’s how to help them start off:

1. Start handling early. Play with their paws, ears, and tail gently at home so they get used to being touched.

2. Brush, brush, brush!! Introduce a soft brush early, even if they don’t need it yet. Make it positive with treats and praise.

3. Get them used to sounds. Play gentle blow dryer or clipper noises during playtime so it’s not scary later.

4. Short, positive visits! Their first few grooms should be short “puppy intros,” focused on fun and comfort, not perfection.

5. Keep calm energy! Dogs read your vibe! Stay upbeat and relaxed at drop-off.

6. Stay consistent. Regular grooming every 4–6 weeks helps them learn the routine and keeps their coat healthy.

7. Trust the process. Patience is key! Grooming is a learned skill, just like potty training.

As we mentioned a couple of months ago, our updated pricing will go into effect January 1st, 2026.

Below is our new price sheet so you can see what to expect with this change. You’ll notice we’ve now created two categories for our deshed service, meaning some of you (those with Labs, German Shepherds, etc.) may actually see a price decrease in the new year! This applies to dogs who don’t require an outline trim with their deshed.

If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to ask!
