First day in a few weeks we haven’t had rain and It turned out to be a nice day outside despite the heat. This poodle crew was loving it! Photos of them all - with bonus photo of “Colonel Obi Sanders” (Thanks Deb!) 🤣

We had a visitor today! Obi came in looking like a polar bear and left looking like a poodle. Of course his mom and sister were happy to see him. He’s such a good Eeyore!

Neo is officially on the OFA board. We used Canine HealthCheck instead of Embark this time and I was happy with their service, health and trait results, and acceptability with OFA. The Neo journey continues 😊 https://ofa.org/advanced-search/?appnum=2556443

Poppy (and me!) are enjoying her first ever shave down, and it’s the first time in her life I’ve actually seen all of her stripes! Since she’s finished her GRCh, we’ll keep her short for a while and maybe bring her back out to show late this year or next. In the meantime, we’ll focus on dog sports for her and showing Neo and Soki. Fun tumes!

Show weekend over!
Soki earned a Reserve Champion of Champions and an Award of Merit. She did great for being only her 3rd show weekend ever.

Poppy showed nicely but didn’t place in conformation, however she did earn her DASH title with 4.11, 4.48, and 4.53 runs.

Neo did great for his first class show weekend, earning 2 class first place, a Best Male, and two reserve class wins against some gorgeous competitors. It was nice that he got his first points at Premier.
As always it was great seeing many of our friends and getting to watch them show their stuff in (and out of!) the ring.

Since the 4/19 shows finally updated, we have updated stats - Rufio is #5 in breed top 10 (Congratulations to Krystal for getting him there, and for her 2nd dog in the top 10), Poppy officially earned her Grand Championship, and the surprise news is that Soki sneaked in her championship too!

Scenes from Day Two at the UKC Southern Classic. Poppy earned her RACEN title today in Precision coursing, Rufio earned his first Total Dog, and Neo won Best Male in his only show of the weekend. One more day to go!

This weekend‘s show is over! This heat was rough on all the dogs, and most of them were over the show thing. Poppy still managed to pull off a Best of Breed and a group placement! Rufio won BOB second show, and Soki won some more first place/best female ribbons. Congratulations to Krystal Cliver - Rufio’s breed wins should put him in the top 10!

While the memory is fresh, I have to mention what a proud moment it was to have yesterday’s Best of Breed ring represented by Forest City dogs - Rufio as grand champion, Poppy as champion, and Soki as class dog. Also today, Rufio, Poppy, and their dad Todd (ThruTheEyesOfPoodles) were pulled out in the GrCh lineup and placed accordingly. I’m thankful our dogs are great not just in temperament but in substance too. It’s a good weekend 😊

Scenes from Day two at the UKC Southern classic show. We had lots of qualifying ribbons with Rufio earning his first Total Dog! One more day!

Neo, 3-months old and growing fast! Neo has started conformation classes and seems to like being the center of attention which should be very helpful in the ring!

Xochi and Neo (under the supervision of poppy and zero) had a big field trip downtown Orlando for Paws in the Park and they handled the crowd, noise, and chaos like pros! (Xochi is still available!)

This was a busy weekend for the pups. They made it to the kitchen for meals, started using crates, getting beef bones, eating dry puppy food, and they’re starting to learn some rules. Pups finally navigated the stairs and all of them are outdoors together for the first time!

Today’s post 4 of 5: Pixel, Winston, and Bane get their time in the spotlight. once I get all of them out outside at the same time, I can see I’m gonna have a hard time getting them to want to come in!

Post 3 of 5 today… puppies have made it to the kitchen! Since pages don’t allow me to post more than one video or combine a video and photo posts, it’s easier to make a combination video on TikTok and post it here.

Perfect weather for adventure!

Puppies just had their dinner bowl and are now winding down. Note the chatty boy Monty (yellow collar) and parti girl Kimchi, who refuses to be ignored. All of the boys in this litter are super sweet, not a testy one in the bunch… yet!

Rudy has been doing great with the one-on-one care Debbie has been giving him. He goes in to the vet tomorrow morning for a reassessment and will be rejoining his siblings afterward. Crossing our collective fingers for good news!

Messy morning in the mush pit, but they’re getting much better!

Little Rudy is making strides! He’s a little behind his siblings as far eating on his own and socializing, so he’s getting some one on one attention with auntie Deb this week. He’s definitely finding his feet!
