At this event, some folks will shave their heads – Steve Huster is volunteering, but he wants lots of support! A color transition like this would typically cost between $750 and $1,000 for the products & treatments used as well as time and the results. It took 10 hours from start to finish. There is no guarantee that the desired color would be obtainable in the first visit. Whitney had no breakage but depending on the condition of the client's hair prior to starting, it could create the need to postpone further services on the first visit, which could also increase the cost to achieve the desired results. We had to start by lifting her old color, and red pigment is the most difficult to lift. Once that was washed out, we cut the bottom of the hair as we knew the desired look was a short bob. Bleach was applied in stages and rinsed according to how quickly it processed. We did 3 conditioning treatments throughout the day. Once her hair was lightened to the desired shade, we did 3 strand tests to see which toner would achieve the desired results. We applied the toner, rinsed, finished the cut and styled. We missed out on a sunshiny Sunday but boy did we have fun!
