I realized today during my event today that I had to change my answer to "Do you really have five dogs!?" when people ask about the name. The answer is no longer yes.

Sadly, we lost our oldest, Hoban, last week after a short battle with lymphoma. Our little family has been grieving and today it hit a bit differently as I struggled to answer that question. He was my VP of Talent and he modeled many bandanas and would sleep next to my sewing machine when I sewed.

The name Five Dog Sewing came about in 2014 when we had five dogs than, a very different pack of dogs than who we have currently and the name will forever stay.
