Puzzles are great for your dog's cognitive ability and sensory enrichment. In order to receive treats out of the puzzle, your dog has to use their brain and nose to power to develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

TIP TUESDAY! Nail maintenence is an essential part of dog ownership, as it plays a huge role in joint health. If a dog’s nails get too long, they cannot properly grip the floor when walking, and the structure of their feet can change, leading to discomfort and an abnormal gait. Lots of dogs find nail trims very stressful. But who said it needs to stay that way? Does your dog struggle with nail trims? Look into scratch board training! Basically, it is teaching your dog to do their own nails. Finally, manicure time can be fun, not stressful! We offer scratch board training in our Daycare 2.0 service. Check out Beaker from our Board and Train program, and Kaya doing a continuing education lesson. Excitable dogs learn how to focus on their owner and ignore distractions when it matters most. Our Story

Dog Den Chicago is a small daycare, boarding and training facility located in Forest Park, IL. Dog Den Chicago’s central focus is to create a personalized home-away-from-home for your dog. We treat all our guests as if they are our own and provide individual attention and loving care. We take every step necessary to ensure your pup is in the best hands.

Whether or not your dog has been involved in daycare or boarding before, Dog Den Chicago is a little different from some other facilities as we offer both indoor AND outdoor playtime. We abide by the “crate and rotate” method of group play to reduce the number of dog guests who may become over stimulated and grumpy. Anyone needing a break can have a rest in a quiet area until they are ready to rejoin the group. All of our dog friendly boarding guests will participate daily in our daycare group play.
