Leo Update
Hey everyone!! Most of you know and have met Leo, our clinic kitty. He even has some great fans out there. He's been with us for 12 years, and we thought he was at least 2 years old when he came in the first time. For all of you who know and love him, I felt like you deserved an update on him. Some of the more observant people may have noticed that he has steadily lost weight over the past 6 months. His health is on the decline. He has lost over 25% of his body weight. His kidney enzymes are steadily increasing no matter what we do, and his heart has a murmur that continues to get worse. In some ways I feel a little bad because he has 20 people always checking him. Taking his temp, taking radiographs, checking blood work. Then again, with those 20 people, I know we are on top of everything and doing all we can for him. He has good days and then he has ok days. We don't know how much longer he'll be with us, but we'll make those days the best we can. So if you stop by and see him, give him a little extra love. He loves all the pets!!! And if you are sending up a prayer, if you wouldn't mind adding him in there, we would appreciate it!!
