"Scale Scouts offers a dynamic scouting experience with a specialized focus on reptile education. Young explorers not only develop traditional scouting skills during our frequent hiking ("herping") trips but also gain specialized knowledge in reptile behavior, photography, identification & natural history. Our comprehensive curriculum includes proper snake locating techniques and hands-on training in the safe handling of each species. With a seasonal (May-August) membership, scouts gain access to a variety of adventures, hiking trips, educational workshops, and community service projects.
