A Howling Good Send-Off 🐾🎶

As the recruits of class #218 walked out to the sound of the bagpipes, Apache joined in, howling…..cheering them on every step of the way. A fitting and heartfelt sendoff as the class exited and stepped into their next chapter.

🐾💜Giving Tuesday 2025💜🐾

Every day our Paws As Loving Support teams walk into hospitals, fire stations, libraries, senior communities, schools, community events and crisis response settings to bring comfort, hope, and connection to the people of Sonoma County. This work takes dedicated training, coordinated outreach, and the behind the scenes support that keeps our dogs and handlers ready when the community needs them most.

This Giving Tuesday we are asking for your support so that PALS can continue providing emotional support visits, crisis response, handler training, and community outreach throughout Sonoma County. Your donation helps us cover essential program needs, supplies, training materials, scheduling and coordination, and the resources that make these meaningful moments possible.

If you believe in the healing power of connection, we would be honored to have your support.

Gretel’s Heart for Forestville 💛🐾

Gretel, Forestville School’s comfort dog, was named the Sonoma County Gazette’s November Pet of the Month. As a PALS facility dog, she brings calm, connection and steady support to students every day, greeting them with the kind of presence that can turn a tough moment around in seconds. Gretel joined Forestville through the support of the Forestville Education Foundation and has become a cherished part of campus life. She recently turned three in October and continues to brighten the halls with her wagging tail and gentle spirit. 🐾💛

~Supporting Those Who Serve~

At First Responder Resiliency Inc.’s 29th conference at Bishop’s Ranch, our PALS Comfort Crisis Peer Support teams spent time bringing moments of ease, connection, and genuine warmth to first responders from across California and Nevada.

The dogs offered soft reminders to pause, breathe, and feel supported, and the attendees welcomed them with so much kindness. It was a meaningful day for everyone.

✨Comfort in Every Corridor✨

Our Paws As Loving Support comfort dog teams spent the past few months visiting Sutter Hospital, bringing calm, connection, and a little light to patients and staff. Each visit is a reminder of how powerful a gentle presence can be in a place of healing. We’re grateful for every moment shared and every smile our pups helped create.
