🚒🔥Supporting Firefighter Wellness🔥
Honored to support our first responders at the Firefighter Wellness Clinic, hosted by @ihan_clinics and @volunteerfirefoundation. This important event focused on firefighter health and well-being, offering nebulized and IV glutathione treatments, sports medicine, massage, acupuncture—and of course, puppy cuddles. Many of our Comfort, Crisis, Peer Support dog teams were grateful to provide a calming presence and comfort to those who serve on the frontlines.

🦮Supporting Biella Elementary Through Change🦮
PALS was invited by a counselor at Biella Elementary to support students and families the morning after it was announced that Biella will be one of three Santa Rosa elementary schools closing after this school year. Our Paws as Loving Support (PALS) teams, Alexandra J. & Velvet and Debbi Y. & Zazzle, were there to provide comfort. They greeted students as they arrived, then attended a parent meeting where families voiced their concerns and asked questions. Emotions ran high as parents, especially those with children in special service classrooms, worried about the transition. Grateful to Principal Rosanne Muldoon for welcoming us.

Supporting John Reed Elementary 🐾💙
After a break-in caused extensive damage at John Reed Elementary, students had to stay home while their school was cleaned and restored. When they finally returned, our Paws As Loving Support therapy dog teams were there to welcome them back with comfort, reassurance, and wagging tails. Huge thanks to Karen G. with Cooper, Christy S. with Saber, Emilie S. with Gaia, and Diane W. with Shasta for bringing smiles and support to the students and staff.💫

🐕🦺Honoring Courthouse Facility Dog Miranda: A Legacy of Comfort and Service🐕🦺
After 9 remarkable years of service at the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office, Miranda, the county’s first Court Facility Comfort Dog, is retiring. Since her graduation in 2015 from Paws As Loving Support, Miranda has provided a calming presence to crime victims and witnesses, easing their journey through the legal system. Her impact extended far beyond the courtroom, offering comfort at community events, schools, and hospitals.
The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors presented Miranda with a Gold Resolution to honor her dedication, and she celebrated her retirement with an ice cream party surrounded by friends and her successors, Darla & Lucy.

Our hearts are heavy as we watch the devastating fires unfold in Southern California. Having experienced a similar tragedy here in Sonoma County, we deeply empathize with the pain and loss faced by those affected. We are holding in our thoughts the families who have lost their homes, the lives tragically lost, and the communities forever changed.
We are profoundly grateful for the incredible bravery and dedication of all the first responders, including our local Sonoma County firefighters who have been deployed to help. When they return home, we will be here to offer comfort and support in every way we can.
