Young Dog and Up (12 month & Up) Introduction/Continuing Foundation Agility Class
Seen agility on TV, or perhaps at a nearby trial? Looks like fun and interested in connecting with your young dog? Introducing Foundation Agility Class for you and your pup where you work together as a team, all the while having fun and learning a new dog sport. Whether you just want to have fun exercising with your dog or want to go further and enter an Agility competition this is where it all starts!

Celtic K9 Academy is happy to announce the addition of a Beginners/Advanced Beginners Agility Class, to enroll for this class your pup needs to be at least 12 months old.

As an introduction to agility, we will start from the ground and only move up when the dog is ready for the next step. Focus will be on training independent and teamwork while learning jumps, tunnels, weaves and all contact equipment such as dog walk, a-frame, teeter and pause table.

Your dog will benefit from the exercise, the social aspect, the feeling of having a job or purpose. Working with their handler builds teamwork, trust, deeper level of communication and of course a strong bond between the two teammates.

To register:
• Your pup must be at least 12 months old.
• Have full vaccinations including but not limited to:
DHLPP, Rabies, Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
• Request your registration form to [email protected]

Start Date: Tuesday March 5-April 9, 2024
Time: 5:30 pm ‐ 7 pm
Length: 6 weeks

At home cheering on Meriann & Solo at the AKC Agility National!! Way to go team Solo, Solo is 11 years old and got her PACH just a month ago! She started agility late at the age of 6 but they have done an amazing job working to get to this point! It's all about the fun with the team! Go SOLO and Meriann! Day one Rock River Valley Australian Club ASCA trial….rain clouds moved south. Beautiful breezy day for fun with friends and pups, not just for Aussies!!

Tomorrow day two, and sun is on the menu. Also on menu are great food, breakfast or lunch that is fundraiser for FFA.

May 21 & 22, here at Celtic K9 Academy, save the date, our first ASCA Sanctioned Agility Trial!!!! There will be 2 classes of each Regular, Gamblers and Jumpers offered each day. Premium Entries open April 1st, pre-entries close May 14th.

Also onsite will be breakfast and or lunch....with all proceeds from food purchases benefiting Fort Atkinson FFA.

Celtic K9 Academy welcomes participants in the Kennel Club of Fort Atkinson's Puppy Kindergarten class! A fire that destroyed the building adjacent to the kennel club's training site prevents the club from using their own facility at this time, and we've offered our facility for their Puppy K class.

KCFA's Puppy Kindergarten class will be held at Celtic K9 Academy on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m., beginning September 1st. This session is now full, for more details and registration forms for future classes see the KCFA website (kcfadogs.org).

Ok agility peeps or dog owners looking to have fun with their pups, Celtic K9 Academy is starting to look into having our 2nd Annual AKC ACT Trial this spring/early summer.

Looking for input from anyone that may be interested in training for it, or participating in testing for either program.

With the release of AKC ACT Jumpers program, this is also an option.

Please either PM directly, or respond here....your preference (AKC ACT 1 or 2 Standard or Jumpers), or anything else that you may be interested in seeing held here?

Also respond if you have any interest in participating in virtual options currently available with some venues, such as NADAC, etc.

Or if you are interested in holding an outdoor trial on grass - lets talk!!!

Had a great day with our first Celtic K9 Academy run thru....lots of friends and aussies running ACT Level 2 set up in preparation of tomorrow AKC ACT 1 & 2 Trial.

Not to late to join us, plenty of sunshine expected, or very least no rain, and cooler temps. Call, email, pm or just plain show up by 10 am if you would like to get your first AKC agility title(s) on your pup, as simple as two qualifying runs in level 1 or level 2.
