💡 Dogs have a third eyelid, called the nictitating membrane, located in the inner corner of their eyes. It protects the eyes from debris, keeps them moist by spreading tears, and helps prevent infections with its immune properties.

Fact or Fiction: Dogs have a “sixth sense” and can predict the weather.

Answer: Fiction (mostly!)

While dogs do have keen senses, there’s no scientific evidence that they can predict weather changes. However, some dogs may react to changes in atmospheric pressure or thunderstorms due to their heightened senses. 🌧️ 🐕

This little lady is Trina, she’s in week two of her two week board and train. We’ve been working on some of the basic skills like sit, down, stay and leash manners. She’s also working on impulse control as she likes to be vocal about her opinions 📣 especially when squirrels are involved 🐿️

Rusty

Here’s your daily dose of cuteness. Rusty is back for refresher training. He isn’t always thrilled to get into his carrier so we’re working on loading up!

It may not look like a big thing, but Thor is learning to load up into the crate. On Monday I struggled for 10 minutes as he refused to get in. I had to pick him up and get him in backwards so he couldn’t push against the sides to stay out. #winning

This cutie patootie is Leo. He’s a 5 month old Golden Retriever also going through my board a train program. Here he is taking a lesson from the experts: how to go down the stairs. I joke but it’s true, my dogs teach as much as I do lol. Leo wouldn’t use stairs before- now he’s a pro! Check out his buddies cheering him on 🎉

Week 2: 6 month old Oakley is working on “off leash heeling” and extended “down stays”.
