Happy 7th Birthday to my very special girl, Windi. I adore this girl. I picked her as my keeper when her litter was born. She is such a fun, loving dog.
She reminds me so much of her grandmother, Tessy including the tongue out when sleeping. Hoping she will be able to give me another special girl this year.
And she has already requested rib eye steak for dinner tonight. So much like her grandmother, Tessy.

Announcing the upcoming breeding Tuxedo’s Dancing in The Wind and Radbach’s Montana Augustus.
Both dogs have been health tested and OFA X-rayed. Phenomenal hunting dogs on wild Montana birds. Extremely biddable in the field and easy to handle.
Around the house, they are easy to be around and love being with their people.
Windi does have a Derby win in the one time we ran her in an AKC field trial.
Both dogs come from phenomenal field trial lines. Photos of pedigrees included in this post.
Currently, taking deposits for our puppy list. Puppies will be AKC full registered with a puppy contract. Tails, dewclaws, 1st vaccines, wormed and microchipped.

Last week we had to say goodbye to our dear Tessy. This girl shared my life for 15.9 years through some really tough times and some really good times. Losing her has been one of the hardest. She lived life on her terms but loved the life she had.
Introduced to birds at 5, she found her true calling. She excelled as a first class wild bird hunting dog, doing what she was bred to do. Whether she was hunting or we needed her to find or retrieve birds other dogs missed, Tessy never disappointed.
And she was the true matriarch of the house. She had free run of the house and especially loved her kitchen duties. Making “Monster Snacks” or supervising steak night, Tessy took her job quite seriously. And then there was always clean up duties with the dishes prior to the dishwasher.
Although your mind and desire were still very much present, your body was failing you. We sadly had to make the toughest decision.
Tessy, I dearly miss you. I find myself thinking I will look over at one of the dog beds and you will be curled up napping.
Enjoy your romps with your BFFs, Molly
and Emma. I know you will be waiting for me. 🐾💕🐾💕

Faith and Dani were having a toy chewing contest last night. Not too many dogs would be that comfortable laying on the same bed chewing on a toy. Daughter and mother enjoy relaxing by the fire.
This says a lot about the dispositions of our Shorthairs.

Dani and her daughters, Faith and Windi love their fireplace. They are anxious to get their new fireplace next week. The blower went out on the old one.
