Crazy few weeks here at Winking Kitty HQ!
2 horses, 3 goats, 7 dogs, 3 fish tanks, 5 parrots, and 13 cats! 🙀 Wheeee!

Never a dull day! 3 petsits this morning, then headed to San Jose for my semi-annual Frenchy Fest! 😻
But first I volunteered to drive a bunch of chicks to Santa Rosa to the Bird Rescue Center, since it’s on the way…was serenaded by chicks for several hours as we drove 😸
When I got to the rescue center, went to put my birds in the crate in quarantine, and noticed a baby duck on the floor! Wrangled 2 escaped ducklings and back on the road! 😹😹😹

This is the closest I’ve ever gotten to JoJo (the darker one). Tortie cat Zoe usually just hisses at me and wants me to go away asap.
Today I’m taking a few minutes to just sit quietly with them since they’re both out of hiding…
Zoe keeps going in the kitchen to check her bowl, and coming back to let me know it’s not full yet 😸😸😸 killing me

Thankful for all my wonderful clients who trust me with their furry, feathered, and scaley kids.

Today I’m thankful that after several years of caring for scaredy cat JoJo, I finally caught a glimpse of her! She’s usually hiding inside the box springs of one of the beds 😸

You just never know how your kitty clients are gonna behave once the family is gone. Kojin is normally an active, purry Boi, but this time he’s been under the bed every visit and not coming out.
I always make sure to seek out the shy ones and do a quick visual check, then leave them alone if that’s what makes them comfortable 💜🐱
