This gentle giant has been waiting for a home since April 2024! He was found on Branscomb Road with his brother, Dave. Goliath is a friendly, good-natured dog who walks well on a leash, loves meeting new people, and is eager to please. He’s looking for an active, playful home with plenty of space to run and explore. Goliath’s curious nature sometimes means he doesn’t realize his own strength, and while he may be shy when meeting new dog friends, he warms up with slow introductions. (Our dog staff would be happy to arrange a meet-and-greet!)
A previous foster noted that Goliath chased livestock while on their farm, so if you have a farm, he will likely need time, training, and patience to acclimate to livestock. On the plus side, he gets along well with cats! Goliath would be an excellent companion for someone ready to provide him with a loving home and the guidance he needs to thrive.

🐾 Dog of the Week: Honey 🐾
Honey is as sweet as her name! Recently, she went on a fun borrow-a-buddy outing, and her adventurous side truly shone. She walked the scenic trail from Pudding Creek to MacKerricher, warming up to her volunteer and practicing commands like come, sit, and shake. She was such a well-behaved companion, walking perfectly on the leash and always checking to make sure her volunteer was close by. Honey didn’t even pull, so they never got to practice “heel” – but that’s a great problem to have! 😂
When given the chance to roam in a protected area, free of people and animals, Honey showed off her excellent recall, staying within 10 feet of her volunteer and frequently checking in.
A few things our volunteer has to note about Honey:
🐓 She has a strong interest in chickens, so a chicken-free home is a must.
🐱 No cats, please – Honey would do best in a home without feline friends.
🏡 She’s comfortable in a secure backyard and enjoys being in an active, loving environment.
