Pug Partners of Nebraska What is Pug Partners of Nebraska? Pug Partners of Nebraska is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and re-homing purebred pugs

Mission
Pug Partners of Nebraska is a 501c3, non-profit organization comprised of dedicated volunteers who are committed to rescuing and re-homing pugs in need. We believe that all pugs deserve a chance to be loved and to love a human companion. A majority of our rescue pugs come from what is called a puppy mill (a mass breeding facility), we are very dedicated to these special dogs and providing

them with the life they deserve. Our main purpose is to provide all of our rescue pugs with a loving foster home, quality dog food, medical care, and any other need that they may have while in our care. Our ultimate goal is to place each pug into a forever family that will continue to show the pug love, attention, and provide the care that they each deserve. We strive to educate our adopters and the public about our wonderful pug breed. Although pugs are quite different from most breeds, we want to show people how amazing these small dogs can be, and how they are great companions. Vision Statement

Pug Partners of Nebraska provides a service to the community for pugs in need, by rescuing purebred pugs that are in shelters, puppy mills, whose owners can no longer care for them, and for those who have become lost/abandoned and to place them in a loving and safe permanent home where they will be loved and cared for as companion pets. Goals of Pug Partners of Nebraska

Dear Supporters & Friends,

Pug Partners of Nebraska, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming pugs in need. We are excited to announce our 12th annual fundraising event, Curly Tails & Cocktails! This event is one of our largest annual fundraisers, which will be held on February 15th, 2025, at Arbor Hall in Omaha, Nebraska. All proceeds from Curly Tails & Cocktails will directly support our pug rescue efforts. Last year we had nearly 120 guests in attendance. Event activities will include a dinner buffet and drinks, music, silent & live auctions, guest speaker, photo booth and more!

Your donation to our silent/live auction or sponsorship allows us to continue saving the lives of pugs in need and providing them with a safe loving home. We rely solely on donations to pay for the medical care that the adoption fee does not cover. Since our founding in 2008, we have rescued and rehomed over 950 pugs with an average medical expenses per dog of $650. We couldn’t do any of this without the generous support of donors like you. To learn more about our rescue efforts, event tickets or sponsorship please visit www.pugpartners.com.

Please keep in mind that since we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, your donation will be tax-deductible, and we would be glad to send you a tax-deductible receipt. If you have any questions or need any more information in the meantime, please feel free to call us at 1-888-509-1940 or email [email protected]

Name: Owen
Age: 8 yrs
S*x: Male
Weight: 19 lbs
Altered: Yes
Good with dogs/cats/kids: Yes and adopter must have another dog/Unknown/Uknown
Likes: He loves chewing on soft toys and bully sticks and being around his people.
Dislikes: Being in a kennel
House-trained: He did some marking on his first week in the house but hasn’t had any issues since
Crate trained: Does not like being kenneled
Fenced yard required: Yes. He has low sight and will wander until something stops him.
Special Needs/Notes: He has low vision, but he quickly adapts to his environment.

Hi my name is Owen. It took me a couple of weeks to get comfortable in my foster home because I don’t see very well. I can see shadows in good light. Now that I am totally comfortable I like providing entertainment to my foster sister because I want her to play with me. I also provide extra laughs for my foster dad because he thinks I’m staring into space when I’m really listening to see what he is grabbing to eat. I don’t like to be locked up, I will try to do whatever I can to get out. I love to snuggles with my foster mom and foster sister. I’m learning that snuggles, pats and kisses are the best part of life. I get excited when it’s time for feeding, but my manners are getting better about waiting my turn. I’m pretty chill most of the time, but I do like to play tug o war. My foster mom also says I’m super smart because I have learned so fast on minding my manners and how to be loved. I think I would like to have another brother or sister around in my new home so I don’t get lonely.

Are you interested in adopting Owen? Please visit our website and review our adoption procedures at: https://www.pugpartners.com/adoption-procedures Owen's minimum adoption donation is $275. Due to the high frequency of applicants, NOT ALL pre-screening emails will be responded to. PPN does not allow pugs to be shipped as cargo. For approved out-of-state adoptions requiring airfare, the pug must fit in an airline-approved sized carrier that can fit under the seat. Out-of-state adopters must arrange for transport; in some cases, we may have volunteers able to help.

We need to address a couple of things as we approach Christmas🎄 and the New Year 🎉
As a reminder, a pet is a family member for life! We will NOT adopt pugs as gifts🎁 ALL family members need to approve, and ALL family members need to meet the pug. This is NOT negotiable.
We receive several applications for specific pugs who require a fenced in yard – and the application does NOT have a fenced in yard. This requirement is not because we feel the pug will not get adequate exercise without one – it’s because they are a flight risk – it’s for their safety and it is NOT negotiable. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE read their bios in their entirety before applying.
If you have any questions, you are welcome to message us.

Name: Nova
Age: 4 yrs
S*x: Female
Previous Life: Shelter
Weight: 18 lbs
Altered: Yes
Good with dogs/cats/kids: Yes, but can be reactive so a passive dog would be best or no dogs/Unknown/No, due to nipping.
Likes: treats, belly rubs, walks.
Dislikes: being picked up or startled
House-trained: Mostly, but does mark at times.
Crate trained: Yes
Fenced yard required: No
Special Needs/Notes: Needs to be fed and given treats away from other people/pets.

Nova is a sweet quirky girl. She does love people and follows her foster Mom everywhere. She does good with the other dogs in her foster home but can get protective of high value treats. In addition, when Nova gets excited or wound up she can get nippy, at people and dogs. Nova loves treats, belly rubs, and going on walks. She is kennel trained and for the most part potty trained. She does mark in the house at times. Nova seems to have a bit of anxiety and can take time to warm up and trust people. When we first got her she would try to bite when startled or someone tried to pick her up. She has gotten better but will still try to bite at times if feels anxious. She will need a family that gives her the love, patience, and time she needs to settle in on her own terms. Once she is given that she will reward you with Pug cuddles and kisses.

What may appear to be funny or cute behavior in your dog or cat may not be normal at all, but a sign of a troubling disorder similar to one seen in humans. More common than many pet parents realize, this disorder can be inherited or simply triggered by something in the animal's environment.
