We would like to give a great big WELCOME to Darren! He recently joined our team as a Ranch Hand. He is a hard working man and we are glad to have him here with us!
A little bit about Darren:
"Music is one of the biggest parts of my life. I make country music, and perform gigs around Colorado Springs.
I love all genres of music. Baseball, football are favorite pastimes and spending time with friends and family.
My parents played 90s country music and rock n roll growing up and I was in a rodeo when I was younger.
My work ethic was instilled in me at a young age by my late father, who I live and strive to be like.
I’m blessed to be able to work on a historical ranch and grateful to be a part of it."

If you like quiet mornings with coffee on your front porch watching wildlife, then this sweet cabin is for you. Located just 3 miles north of Woodland Park on the private property of a historic ranch, the Bear Trap cabin gives you country living close to town. Recently remodeled with knotty pine tongue-and-groove, brand new kitchen appliances, full sized washer and dryer, and 2 full bathrooms, this cabin won't last long. New, easy-care, high-end laminate flooring was added and a fenced back yard. The master bedroom features a fireplace, oversized bathroom, and the closet is large enough to fit a twin-sized bunk bed, if needed, for little ones. The 2nd bedroom is the perfect size for an office or can accommodate a full-size bed. Like the master bedroom, the closet is built large enough for a twin bunk bed. The kitchen highlights a farmhouse sink with butcher block countertops. The interior is light and bright, and you can enjoy the 3 season, 12 x 12 covered deck as an extended living room. Relax with a walk around the private ranch property or head out to Pike National Forest for a hike to the red rocks. This cabin will give you the feeling of "vacation" while living the day-to-day. Additional $200/month covers all utilities (water, trash, electric, gas, road maintenance). Renter is responsible for internet/satellite service, yard upkeep and miscellaneous maintenance issues that may arise. A maximum of 2 approved pets are allowed with a non-refundable deposit and additional monthly fee. Renters insurance, a minimum $3,300/month income, credit score of 650, and a minimum lease duration running through the end of May 2025 is required.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to join our team. As a ranch staff member, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks related to ranch maintenance, construction, and equipment operation. This is a physically demanding role that requires working outdoors in all weather conditions. The job involves tasks such as maintenance and repair of fences, gates, and other ranch infrastructure, operating heavy equipment, general maintenance tasks, and general remodel/construction labor.

Job is full time and salary range is $16-$25 depending on skillset and experience.

We'd like to introduce our Ranch Coordinator, Kim Stutzman.
She recently relocated here from Big Sky Montana!
Kim is married, has one daughter and five grandsons.
Growing up Kim spent her days on her grandparents farm. Working with and taking care of animals has always brought Kim joy. As a young person, she had a horse named Cisco that she would ride daily. Her love of horses grew from there. At one time she and her daughter, Mellisa had 6 horses. When the mares foaled Kim and her daughter worked together to teach the foals ground manners.
"I am very blessed to be able to work at the ranch. My co-workers are wonderful people, and of course, spending time with the horses is a bonus."

We would like you to meet Jael Matzke.
Jael is our head Wrangler. This is her third summer with us.

Jael is 25, she is the third daughter of four girls in her family. She is from Texas and has always had animals, including a Ball Python snake named 'Lucille Ball' or Lucy. Jael's summers were spent in AZ riding at a cattle ranch. She was taught by Morty- a team roper that participated in Las Vegas. While on the ranch she helped to push cows, brand tag and vaccinate the cows. She says, 'basic ranch stuff'.
Jael was six years old when she had her first ride on a white horse named Moon.
What does she enjoy about working at the ranch: she states she loves her bosses, and being able to ride. This is a great environment to be in.

It's a pleasure to welcome Jonathan Spencer to The Historic Triple B Ranch as our new Ranch hand.

I'm a 27-year-old who grew up in Stillwater, Oklahoma, with my roots firmly planted in the Oklahoma Panhandle, where my grandparents own a cattle ranch. The ranch has been in our family since the Oklahoma Land Run in 1889. I spent most of my childhood and teenage years immersed in the rugged beauty and hard work of ranch life, which shaped my deep appreciation for nature and family. Two years ago, I made a move to Colorado, seeking new adventures and experiences.
In my free time, you'll find me country dancing, enjoying the great outdoors, and spending quality time with friends and family. My love for dancing keeps me connected to my roots, while the breathtaking landscapes of Colorado continue to fuel my passion for nature. Whether I'm exploring mountain trails or hitting the dance floor, I'm always surrounded by the people and activities that bring me joy.

Hi! My name is Chloe and I am originally from Seattle, Washington but came to Colorado to study Equine Sciences and Business Administration at Colorado State University! Horses have always been my passion and I’ve ridden western/English off and on throughout my life. I’ve been in Colorado for 4 years and have just finished up my degree at CSU. I came to Triple B Ranch to gain more hands on experience and be outside during the summer! I’m so excited to be a wrangler and continue my learning through this position.
