The Four Winds had yet another successful horse show at Summer in the Rockies III! Fourteen horses in total and all of our riders rode some pretty incredible rounds and had great learning experiences.

A few highlights of the week include:
-Jasmine Throckmorton and Dana Knudson took their thoroughbreds to their first USHJA show!
-Jasmine got to compete for the first time on Deep Dive in the Pre-Adults who she is leasing through the summer!
-Ella Thompson and Gossip Girl grabbed a champion💙❤️💛 in the 0.85m jumpers!
-Kaiden Chlebisch and Rockefeller placed Seventh💜 in the Low Ch/AA Hunter Classic!
-Sawyer Gerholt and FW Mischief Managed made their A Show Debut together!

Summer in the Rockies II was a great success for the Four Winds family! Everyone laid down some really impressive rounds and we could not be more proud. Some highlights of the week include: Jordyn Becker and Wing It grabbing a Tricolor ❤️💛🤍 in the 0.85m Jumpers while Julie Toussenel and Killian made their debut as a pair, and Killian’s first A show. Dominique Brown and Champagne Problem tried their hand at the 1.05m classes and grabbed a 🥉! Courtney Ybarra and Eminent moved up to the Pre-Children’s Hunters and Equitation, and Olivia Critchley and Roosevelt competed in their first away show together and got some impressive ribbons in the Rusty Stirrups!

‘Cross the Meadows CHJA at The Four Winds was such a great success! We are so grateful to have spent Father’s Day with all of the wonderful barn dads and families alike who support all of us in doing what we love, and we would like to extend a *huge* thank you to all of our exhibitors, who together raised $1110 for Rocky Mountain Horse Rescue. Keep tagging us in those ribbon photos!!

Our first day of 'Cross the Meadow Show went amazing!

Some major changes to help balance the hours:
- 18'' have moved to the East Arena, Sat afternoon (if you're also entered in Cross Rails, they are NO LONGER in the same arena).
- 2' have moved to the East Arena, Sunday morning.
- The stirrups will have their own schooling break Sun morning, after the 2'. Short Stirrups have combined, hunters with Longs and equitation with Mediums.

Our second annual Advanced Camp and Braiding Clinic were extremely successful! During Advanced Camp, our riders learned a lot of important things both in and out of the saddle, such as several of USEF’s 23 Equitation tests and Horse Leg Care. Elisebeth Hare traveled quite a way for our Braiding Clinic and taught manes, tails, and forelocks and each of our participants did a great job! Thank you Elisebeth for another wonderful clinic!

Last week at Spring Classic we saw some of the most consistent rounds yet! The team spirit and camaraderie was strong with this bunch this week! Some highlights include Ana Bertozzi and Deep Dive winning an over fences round of the 3’3” AO Hunters and Kaiden Chlebisch and Attaboy Atticus moving up to the USHJA 2’6” Hunters and laying down several good rounds.

Unfortunately we will have to cancel tomorrow's show after all.

After the rain, there is a rainbow; We have a lot of exciting things planned for our next Outreach show on May 11th, including:
* A tack sale organized by Hillary Chlebisch. You can message her if you're interested in bringing tack to the sale!
* Mother's Day mimosas and breakfast treats. We're looking for two $50 sponsors to help us say "thank you" in a big way to all the moms who make this sport possible!
* We'll keep the format of April's cancelled show: schooling in the massive East arena if you want your greenies to get experience, and closest Jumper entry to the Optimum Time wins one free class at their next competition.

Although we're disappointed to cancel tomorrow, it means we're looking forward to the competition in May even more!

We had an extremely successful weekend at Gold Crest! We saw lots of successful move-ups and first times this weekend and had a ton of fun! A highlight includes winning the Gold Crest Fine Tack Best Barn Set Up award.

Our second annual Parent/Partner Lesson Night was a huge success! We offered our students’ families and friends the opportunity to share in what we love on horseback and finished the night with pizza! Thank you to everyone who participated and helped out for such a fun night!

This past weekend we attended Colorado Show Circuit at The Ranch. We had so many great rounds and several milestones. A couple of these milestones include Adalai Parsons and Skywalker ‘Benny’ moving up to the meters and finishing reserve champion, and a couple of our babies venturing off-property for the hunter breeding classes! We are so proud of all of our riders and can’t wait for the rest of show season!

What a way to end Arizona! Our riders pulled off some great ribbons and jumped around beautifully throughout the week. A highlight of the week includes Ana Bertozzi and Deep Dive ‘Tito’ winning the Jr/AO Hunter Classic. This is his first show stateside and he was imported less than 60 days ago as a six year old. Congratulations Ana for such a wonderful performance, and congratulations to Linnea Throckmorton and Dominique Brown for a successful start to their show season as well!

So far, we’ve had an extremely successful week in AZ! Linnea Throckmorton and Tempe have had some awesome placings in the jumpers, including a Second in the 1.10m and the 1.20m! Dominque Brown and Poppy pulled a Fifth out of a competitive group in the 1.0m, and Ana Bertozzi and Tito grabbed Third and Fifth in the 3’0” Greens! We are looking forward to the last couple of days before heading back home to Colorado!
