As of right now, NOCO Humane is temporarily caring for 196 animals who evacuated from their homes and could not stay with their owners: 36 dogs, 47 cats, 82 chickens, 10 ducks, and 21 small mammals/exotics. If you were evacuated and need temporary housing for your pet (no larger than a goat), our Larimer Campus is able to care for them. If after hours, we have an Animal Protection & Control Officer on call who can help evacuated animals get settled into our shelter at any time of the night. Once youโre here call 970.226.3647 ext. 7.
If you are seeking housing for an animal larger than a goat, please go to Island Grove Regional Park in Greeley, 501 N 14th Ave, Greeley, CO 80631.
If you were able to stay with your pet after being evacuated and need food/supplies, please feel free to stop by our Larimer Campus in Loveland and we will provide you with an emergency supply.
Due to the large outpouring of support, no additional volunteer resources or supplies are needed at this time. Monetary donations go a long way during times like these and can be made at https://register.nocohumane.org/give/234539/ #!/donation/checkout.
If you would like to donate an item to the animals in our care, please select an item from our website or from one of the third party wish lists on our website: https://www.nocohumane.org/contribute-supplies/. Using this list ensures we're getting what we actually need.
We are receiving support from Dumb Friends League in Denver as they are taking Larimer Campusโs adoptable animals, helping to free up kennel space for more evacuated animals as the fires continue. Thank you DFL!

For pet owners seeking resources due to the Stone Quarry Fire, please start with resources and services in Boulder County so that we can continue to assist those affected by the Alexander Mountain Fire.
We are aware of the Quarry Fire in Jefferson County and are keeping an eye on it.
We have heard reports of individuals and/or groups sharing false information about the wildfires. For your safety, please ensure you are getting your information from official and trustworthy sources. Information and resources are constantly changing and the official/credible sources are vigilantly providing updates. Here is a start for official sources:
