I'm trying something new for my Pet Portraits! Please read on if you've been interested in getting artwork from me recently 😅

To make a long story short, I've had my new orders closed for almost a year now because I am SO slow with completing art that I was still working through a small backlog of 3 paintings since last December and I just couldn't handle orders continuously coming in anymore. I got scared of the time it was taking me to work on art and had to shut down orders for a while.

In that time, I've gotten LOTS of people interested in ordering when I open, lots of messages and emails that, over the months, I've lost track of. People asking when I'll open, or if I'd be interested in doing something for them when I'm ready, etc. Which is great! But it just made me more nervous that there would be a FLOOD of orders when I opened for new work, and I'd be in the same position I was in last year and in 2019 (something I never want to repeat again haha). So I've still been slowly working on my backlog, but also postponing opening for new orders because I was terrified I'd be flooded again, so I haven't been sure what to do.

After talking with some friends, I'm trying out a waitlist deal! A way for people to get on a physical, tangible, public waitlist (so they can see that I do know they're waiting), but without them paying upfront and me feeling extremely guilty for holding on to their money for months and months.
Right now the best option I can think of is a Google Form for people to fill out that asks a few simple questions about what type of portrait they're interested in, and they can submit it to me to show interest in being on the waitlist.
Then, I can grab the information from the form and input into Trello, which is a public workspace organizer I've used before, where people can check and see their names on the waitlist, and where I can pull names from when I'm ready to start a new piece.

So I'm trying this out! It's been a long time since I've opened for orders and I'm not quite ready -YET-, but I am starting to take names on the waitlist :) The waitlist will allow me to see who is interested in a commission, but not feel pressured to complete a certain one asap. From the waitlist, I can choose what project to work on next based on my current mental state, inspiration, available time, etc :)

Sabaka & Max
9x12" Cartoon Portrait

What a cute and sweet painting this was! Max, the African Grey Parrot, sadly passed away leaving behind his kitty friend, Sabaka. One of Max's favorite things to say was "See you later!", so the client requested him to be saying this to his friend. This painting has multiple meanings behind it and also a touching message! I love how Cartoon portraits can be sweet even though they are more fun in looks!

Hello, all!
Apologies for the radio silence here! I am still hard at work on pet portraits and artwork. It is interesting to me that a large part of being an artist is sharing your artwork with others and spreading the joy and feelings your art gives to other people, however for some reason it is mentally a difficult task for me (and other artists I know!) to actually get on and regularly share our work on our pages! I have a big backlog of pet portraits to share on here of what I've been doing over the last few months, so my plan is to put them all into the post scheduler so I don't have to worry about it for a while :)
My pet portraits are currently still closed for new orders as I have one portrait on my queue still left to complete before I feel comfortable taking on new orders. Keep an eye out here for that opening, I know a lot of you have been waiting patiently!

This piece was created in 2013 and STILL does not have a home. I desperately need to find a new place for it!
Titled "Saluqi" Original graphite on paper. 11x14” double matted and ready to frame. Ships free in the continental US but can discuss shipping overseas.
I was asking $130 for it but I will take $100 or even less if it means it will find a home. Please help by sharing this and hopefully someone will want this lovely piece!

I've been so humbled and inspired by these large watercolor painting commissions I have gotten! They are such a challenge but in all the best ways for me. They do take me extra time to complete but the final product is always so lovely and, especially in person, just breathtaking with the size and complexity! I was honored to recreate a special scene from a hike of Charlie and Edit amongst the wildflowers

Hi all!
My apologies for the silence on this page lately! I have been playing catch-up with orders while still trying to work through my other life jobs and hobbies. I have decided to temporarily close down new pet portrait orders for a little bit as I catch up from older orders. I have never been the fastest artist, but some clients have been waiting over a year now and that is not how I like to operate! So to remedy it I wanted to make sure no one else will be ordering to add on to the queue.

I am hoping to open back up after the New Year, but that is a goal not a promise! This does mean that I will not be open for Christmas gifts this year, and for that I apologize. I know many people love gifting custom artwork of their pets for the Holidays and I'm sorry I can't provide that this year!

It’s time for this Original Painting to find it’s forever home!
This one of a kind, original watercolor painting has been with me for 6 years. It has traveled to multiple states and different art shows but has yet to find a home!
This painting is already matted and ready to frame and display on a wall. It comes in a protective plastic sleeve and cardboard backing for storage and shipping. It’s full, matted size is 12x16”.

I’m asking $125 (+shipping) for this original piece. A huge discount over what I’ve tried to sell it for in the past. It pains me to sell an original piece of artwork for so low, but I am ready for this piece to find a new home!

What a fun commission! I loved reading the owner's stories of these two pups and their daily interactions. I decided to paint a story of the pair's personalities! Grover is a spunky little dude with a mischievous streak, and Norma will always just look at mom and dad for help when her 'brother' is being a little odd. 😄

The third of my Christmas pet portrait orders I finished for the holiday :) This was commissioned by one of my BodyBalance members from the gym for her daughter for Christmas! Her daughter's three huskies Xiyah (left), Ekko (middle), and Nala (right). It was such fun putting the three dogs together to make a cohesive looking portrait!

This painting is a "brother" painting to "Missy" posted a few weeks ago! Similarly, it is one of the largest paintings I've ever done at 16x20"! Such a size can pose as much of a challenge (or more) than smaller size pieces, so it was really fun to flex my art muscles so to speak and change up my work a little!

Thank you to The Elizabeth Hotel for having me last night for the kick-off of Dog Days!
It’s hard to figure out what to do with being a Caricature artist but only at an event for a few hours. My portraits take a lot of time so I cannot crank out a bunch of caricatures in a short amount of time! I hoped to just introduce people to my work and let everyone watch me paint live 😍 I did one Live caricature of cute Petey at the event! Thank you to everyone who stopped by and to the Elizabeth for having this super fun event! I want to come back with my own pups later!
