As a Team Member you should be passionate about helping people with the success of their pond, aquarium, water garden and other fish habitats. Every day you will be providing exceptional, neighborly service at every opportunity as well as completing daily, weekly, and monthly chores.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Helping customers select the the correct equipment, accessories, and livestock for the appropriate pond, water garden, aquarium and other fish habitat.

-Educating customers to the proper ways to clean and maintain their pond, water garden, aquarium and other fish habitat.

-Testing various water parameters to ensure a safe living environment for both store and customer ponds, water gardens, aquariums and other fish habitats.

-Cleaning all display ponds, water gardens, aquariums and other fish habitats.

-Stock shelves and ring up customer purchases.

-Sweeping, mopping, dusting and keeping the store clean and tidy.

…all while engaging with our customers with a smile. A team member will likely do it all, but may specialize in any of the following areas:

Freshwater Aquariums

-Test all freshwater aquariums and amend accordingly.

-Glass cleaning, gravel vacuuming and partial water changes of all freshwater aquariums.

-Closely observe all freshwater aquarium livestock and ensure their needs are being met.

Saltwater Aquariums

-Test all saltwater aquariums and amend accordingly.

-Glass cleaning and partial water changes of all saltwater aquariums.

-Closely observe all saltwater aquarium livestock and ensure their needs are being met.

Pond & Water garden

-Test all ponds and water gardens and amend accordingly.

-Removing algae and cleaning all pond and water garden filters.

-Trimming and caring for pond and water garden plants

All team members support each other by acting as back-up when extra help is needed. The Team Member position can be physically demanding, requiring heavy lifting (40-65 lbs) and standing for long periods of time. Candidates must be flexible to work weekends and holidays. All candidates must pass a background screening, and be 16 years or older.

Happy Holidays from all of us at Alpine Koi & Reef! We will be closing early at 3:00pm on December 24th and we will be closed on December 25th. We will also be closed December 31st and January 1st.

One of the things people love most about corals are the beautiful colors they display, but they don’t NEED color to be beautiful! Here is a look at coral from a different angle. Check out the magnificent patterns and textures these corals create! Some of them look like the surface or the moon or another plant! 👽
