As heart-wrenching as it is to hold a kitten in your arms while they die, it also makes me feel better that I can provide comfort in what I imagine is a scary moment for them. Thankfully Sammy crossed the bridge quickly (they usually don’t) as I whispered to him it was okay to let go.

He came to us from Louisiana just Saturday with this ginormous tummy full of fluid. FIP. His tummy was so big he was basically laying down while he ate. I wish we would have gotten him sooner to give him the help he needed.

These are just a few kitties arriving from Louisiana tomorrow (Saturday) that are looking for foster homes!! Please dm us if you’re available! The less we have in kennels, the better for everyone!! Typical foster period for kittens is 3-4 weeks. Adults may take a little longer, but Louisiana sends us their sweetest 🥰

Stone is a brick house 3 year old who just came from Louisiana last month to find his furever home as an only-kitty! He is SO affectionate to his humans and loves to be petted. Kit was found pregnant on a farm outside of Platteville. She was trapped and went to a foster home where she had 7 babies!

She was pretty wild at first, but one of Colorado Kitty Coalition’s fosters worked with her to get her socialized.

Every day we see her get a little more confident. She loves to play and can often be found rubbing up against legs in pursuit of butt scratches.

UPDATE: Foster found!!

Yesterday, we took in a VERY sweet mama and her 5 brand new babies she had in a window well! This family is looking for a foster home that can spoil them for 8 weeks until they’re old enough for adoption.

Please only apply if you can foster the full 8 weeks. We don’t like to move kitties around if we can help it!

Colorado Kitty Coalition rescued Inky and Asher from a kill shelter in Virginia.

We don’t know how they ended up there, but we are so glad they got a second chance!

These bonded brothers are looking for a home together! They are the sweetest, chattiest felines you’ll ever meet!

Help us find this kitty’s family!!

This super sweet gentleman was found at a local business as a stowaway on a shipping truck. When the delivery driver was unloading, he jumped right out of the back of the truck and the driver left him behind unfortunately, even though he was seen by the driver (caught on camera) 🙄.

He was found with a collar on, but no tag and is not chipped. He is absolutely the biggest sweet heart and will curl right up on your lap and relax for the day. So we know he was loved and taken care of. He could be from anywhere between Denver and Fort Collins!!

Dixxon’s foster just couldn’t resist this mug!

Our FIV+ boy is still looking for a home (or foster)! Yes, his head tilt is cute, but he unfortunately acquired it from being shot 😔. We had a CT done thinking he had a polyp in his ear, but it turned out to be embedded buckshot.

This big ol boy is shy at first, but once he knows you, he’s a big sweetie!

Harmony is looking for a safe foster (OR ADOPTER!) where she can explore outside. She darts out the door any chance she gets and her current foster in Loveland has predators nearby. She is curious and will follow you around the house. She likes to be petted and will cuddle you, as long as she’s not in play mode! She is energetic and playful. Hattie came to us from Louisiana Saturday. Just yesterday her foster noticed she was shaking, not interested in food, and unwilling to walk. She is pretty much laying on her side, but walks like a baby deer when she attempts to walk or sits in this awkward position. Her bladder was very large too, but she is now going on her own. Bloodwork and x-rays were both unremarkable besides low electrolytes, so for now she is on IV fluids, antibiotics and pain meds as we figure out what’s going on with her. Through it all, she is purring away!

Some of the names we call Dylan are not appropriate for the internet, so we’ll go with Dylan on here! 😂 This spicy little man is a true “man’s - man”. While he does OK with the women who do literally EVERYTHING for him (not salty at all 😅), he has made it clear that he prefers men visitors! Dylan will require a patient adopter who will go slow to let him warm up.
