Meet Peaches: our longest-tenured resident and reigning queen of minding her own business.

Peaches is sweet, quiet, and gentle—think “soft background music,” not “heavy metal at 3 a.m.” She’s a big fan of full-body scratches (yes, including the belly), laser pointers, wand toys, and gourmet snacks like dried minnows. When she’s not being pampered, she’s perfectly happy napping in her favorite bed or running a very serious Neighborhood Wildlife Watch from the window.

Peaches isn’t clingy or demanding. She’s more of a “you do your thing, I’ll do mine (nearby)” kind of gal who thrives in a calm, low-key home. While she could live with another shy cat, she really shines as a solo act—less competition, more spotlight.

She’s shy with new people and will need a patient adopter, but once she warms up, she’ll reward you with quiet companionship and expert-level cuddles. Trust us: the slow burn is worth it.

Peaches does have an immune-related skin condition that causes occasional flare-ups, easily managed with ointment, and she is FIV+. With proper care and a low-stress lifestyle, she can live a long, happy, totally normal life—preferably as the beloved couch supervisor in your home.

If you’re looking for a gentle, independent soul with peach-perfect manners, Peaches might just be your girl. 🍑💛

I thought of just picking one of the photos of this group and the rest of the Christmas shoot did for us but I couldn't risk you all missing out on the derpy kitten outtakes.

So instead you get an entire post dedicated to these 4 month old boys.

They're all pretty standard as far as kittens go: playful, goofy, and love snuggles when they’re worn out.

Meet our FeLV+ cats!

Oreo, Smokey, Zia, Fred & George

What does FeLV+ mean? It means these cats carry the feline leukemia virus, which is contagious amongst cats so these friends should only live with other FeLV+ cats or as solo felines. What does it mean for their quality of life? Well, Oreo’s thriving at 13 which is a pretty good example of the long, wonderful lives these cats can live with proper care, regular vet checkups, and being kept indoors.

Now to the cats!

Oreo is our 13 year old grandma. She loves following people around and exploring, and is our only FeLV+ cat currently at the shelter. Because she has to be isolated from other cats, she’s been in a kennel the last few months. Our biggest wish is for her to find the perfect home where she can snuggle up on the couch and stretch those old bones out in a sunbeam.

Smokey is an extra special 2 year old with FeLV and FIV. He’s an absolute sweetheart and is always happy to roll over for pets while making happy trilling sounds. Although Smokey’s an absolute goofball for his adult people, he’s not a fan of young kids or babies.

Zia is everyone’s favorite rascal. Want to play fetch for hours, run circles around your house, and then commit a heist? Zia’s your girl. Although she’s starting to outgrow her teenage kitten chaos, she still has tons of energy and loves nothing more than causing a bit of mayhem.

Last, but not least, we have Fred and George. These bonded brothers are full of hilarious kitten antics that will keep you (and themselves) entertained all day. Fred and George switch between being perfectly content lying in a sunny spot to full body wrestling without notice, and then go right back to snuggling up together for a nap.

Because we think these cats are just as deserving of love and a cozy home to call their own, for the rest of December we are discounting their adoption fees by an additional $50 from the listed fee on their pages.
