Huge thank you to everyone that came out to our August mini trial yesterday! It was a lovely day and lots of fun was had.

Our final mini trial of the season is September 7th! It is already posted to event entries. PLEASE register early. We had 35 entries come in after closing date on Thursday for our August show, and our show secretary had to make a lot of adjustments to ride times. We want to get ride times out by Thursday before the show, and registering early will help us to do this! We are flexible in allowing changes and additions if needed.

Thank you to this amazing community for showing up and supporting our farm as we continue to make improvements to our courses and facilities. Our inbox is always open for feedback on other things we can improve on so feel free to reach out with feedback 🐎

We are so proud of our boarder Rachel Gruebbel for her work done at Archer this weekend! Earlier this summer Rachel purchased her long term lease Dante and decided to try eventing. They have so much fun out there and it’s awesome to watch :) Dante (affectionately called Donna at home) is a cross country machine that definitely loves his job ❤️ Congratulations Rachel!

We are looking to add one to two barn workers to our staff in the immediate to near future. Our current crew is losing a few due to college and corporate work so looking to backfill.

Duties include but are not limited to:
-mucking
-feeding grain
-feeding alfalfa
-scrubbing and refilling water troughs
-emptying trashes
-dragging arena and pens
-other duties as needed or assigned

Qualified applicants will have at least 2 years of horse care experience or owned their own horse for at least the past 3 years.

Pay is commiserate on experience and availability. Training is available and will be performed, but this position is not open to individuals without previous equine experience.

Handsome pony Finn making light work of the 3’. He is available for 1/2 or full onsite lease and would be an excellent match to a kid or small adult wanting to do the jumpers.

In order of how they are pictured:

Dancer: Draft/TB Cross
Currently used for beginning/intermediate lessons. He is 16.3 and "husband friendly". Loves to jump, fun to flat, and a true beauty! 1/2 lease available.

Opie: Dutch Warmblood.
Requires an intermediate rider. A blast to jump, thickly built 16.2 bay. Seeking a 1/2 lease at this time.

Ollie: Dutch/TB Cross
Ollie is as barbie dream horse as they come with a lovely disposition on the ground and a floaty movement under saddle. Ollie is green but brave and safe, currently jumping 2' courses. Intermediate rider, but brave and wants to please

Finn: Pony Extraordinare
Finn has extensive experience through the novice level of eventing. Competitive on the flat, springy over fences. Best suited for a kid that wants to learn the ropes of eventing. 1/2 or full lease available.

Roo: Thoroughbred Mare
Roo is one of our farm favorites that everyone loves to catch ride. INCREDIBLY SAFE mare that will take 1000 jokes under saddle. Jumps 3' courses with ease showing greener riders the ropes of higher fences. Kind, cuddly, and a true sweet heart. Best suited for someone wanting to do beginner novice or novice eventing, and have a safe confidence boosting ride. 1/2 or full lease available.

Gaia: Mustang
Gaia is relatively new to our farm and in her two months here has show herself to be a level headed respecting mare. Our barn worker Scarlett has been working with Gaia and she jumps 2'3 courses and flats nicely. Best suited for an intermediate rider or a beginner rider in a lesson program. 1/2 or full lease available.

Scenes from our jumper show today! We were aggressive in our scheduling and beat the heat. The theme of the day was tutus over fences.
Excitingly a lot of these horses are for sale or for
lease, but a more formal post regarding that will follow.

We are so excited for our one day horse trial on July 20th! Entries are open on event entries and will close on July 18th.

Come ride in our brand new dressage rings, fully revamped cross country course, and new footing in the jumping ring :)

Our cross country course now has a full "non log" starter course, in addition to a revamped novice and revamped training course with new fences and tracks at all levels.

We are so excited for our jumper show this Saturday July 13th! Come out to a low pressure atmosphere and practice your courses :) as a reminder divisions will not start before each half hour kicking it off with prelim at 9:00. Cross rails won’t start before 12:00.

After many weeks of hard work a few of our Sunrisers went out to test out the new cross country course. Boy oh boy did the novice and the training course flow so well! Many awesome new elements such as a coffin, several new tables, corners, and other elements have been added!

We are so excited to welcome everyone to our July 20th show. It was be live on event entries soon so be on the look out and get your entry in early!

July 20th - Sunrise one day schooling horse trial. We are excited to present our new cross country course with a fully revamped training level course and many new elements on starter through novice levels. We will also be offering combined tests through preliminary and jump rounds or dressage rounds only. Entry going live on event entries soon.

Sunrise crew had an awesome time clinicing with Christian Eagles this past weekend. Lots of improvement on the flat, in our galloping positions and effectiveness out cross country, and some very valued expertise as we revamp our cross country course. We can’t wait for Christian to come back!

We are hard at work here at Sunrise building more cross country elements. Last nights efforts brought a brand new modified stair table and two starter fences, baby stairs and a coop!!

Tonight will bring some telephone pole “fan” jumps modeled after Mile Highs element, and a few more starter fences.

We have been having an awesome time working on revamping our cross country course! We are full steam ahead this week as we build more beginner novice thru training elements, and we also plan to build some modified elements as well.

Our course is open while we work on it! Come and school it. We have ditches water, and a full course from starter to training. Contact us to schedule an appointment!

We are pleased to announce that on July 13th starting at 9:00 am we will be hosting a jumper show!

Divisions from cross rails to prelim. Three classes per division: speed, optimum time, and gamblers choice. Champion and reserve champion ribbons for divisions with four+ entrants. Each class pinned 1st - 6th.

Trainers that bring 4 or more students ride for FREE.

⚡️Weekend recap⚡️

We are SO proud of all the Sunrisers that competed this weekend.

In the Novice open division farm owner and trainer Rachel Howard piloted her gelding Lincoln through a great dressage and double clear show jumping and cross country. They ended in sixth for their division.

In the Novice Amateur division Brittany Packard and her mare Cayenne Pepper completed their first three day event since 2017, and earned two double clear jumping rounds. They ended in 4th out of 14 for their division.

In the Beginner Novice division Rachel Grubbel and her gelding Dante put together three sharp phases to land in 4th out of a HUGE division.

We also had Allie Martin piloting her long term partner Felix. Allie and Felix had a very competitive dressage test and had a great time this weekend!

Finally our young rider Tessa aboard Finn went out at Starter this weekend. Unfortunately a huge thunderstorm came through near the end of the show Sunday and the pair opted to not continue.

A huge thank you to all of the amazing volunteers that were at Archer all weekend. Across all the area ix events you see a lot of the same crew and their selflessness and generosity with their time is what allows these events to be run. A huge thank you so the show organizers as well for putting on a great show! Our squad is looking forward to Mile Highs inaugural recognized event, and maybe we will be adding some new pairs 🐎❤️
