Thanks to everyone who came out to on Friday to show your support for and help us raise $$ to purchase Poppy, a new horse for the farm! Many of you also donated online so THANK YOU for that as well.

Some beauty on the farm today! Durango the dog and Amorosa the milk goat enjoying the evening grass, a new whiteboard drawing by instructor Rachel, Buttercup the pony getting a relaxing training ride by Instructor Milo, and Hoss the goat being adorbs!

A big part of keeping a healthy Farm is making sure that the vet sees all of the animals and gives them their vaccinations, dental procedures, and checks over their overall health. Here, we see our horse Chip getting a needed yearly dental float, where the veterinarian grinds down. Any sharp points on the teeth that need filing. Filing. The sharp points can cause injuries in the mouth and therefore need to be attended to. The blindfold is because he has a fear of the vet and it helps him stay relaxed during the procedure.

All of our equines, goats, and pigs got seen today!

Wow what a beautiful outpouring of community support! Thank you to our Nature OT partners for creating this fundraiser, to CSu Art students for leading, to for hosting and for so many friends and farm families who came out to help us raise scholarship funds for . Student: I'm so nervous, what if he spooks in the wind?

Me: let's practice positive "what if" statements. Can you think of one?

Student: ok .. What if I trot on the correct diagonal down The Long side?

Using positive "what if" statements can really impact your life. Focusing on the negative will only make you more prone to experience negative outcomes. Especially with equines, since they can sense your intent and often act on it. That's why they make amazing partners, they can feel what you desire and work off of your energy. If you bring nervous or negative energy to your ride, it's likely what you will experience. But bringing positive and calm energy to your ride will help create a much safer environment for all.

Working with my students oftentimes gives me an opportunity to practice working on the same skills in my life. So this week, I'm practicing my positive "what if" statements. ❤️

We are very sad to announce to our community the passing of one of our beloved farm goats, Blossom.

Blossom was born on the farm along with her sister, Little May, in April, 2017. Her father was light in color and when she was born, she was almost white so we called her Blossom, like the gorgeous trees that were in Spring bloom.

We will hold her memory dear and will all miss her beautiful face very much around the farm. As we watch the Spring blossoms pop up and grace the farm with beauty, we can remember her.

We love you, Blossom ❤️

Our Pony of the Americas, Buttercup, and our miniature mule, Drizzle, are both coming along really well in their saddle training! Really excited about these gals entering the lesson program as their training progresses.

It's also really neat to have students who are talented enough riders at this point in their education to help instructor Rachel get these smaller animals trained.

What an amazing opportunity for these young students and also for these young equines.
