Another positive rabies case has been reported in Larimer County this year; making it the 3rd positive rabies identification for 2024. The most recent was discovered in a bat at the Twin Silos Park in southeast Fort Collins last Thursday. We strongly encourage pet owners to keep their pets up to date on their rabies vaccinations. This is a virus that is 100% vaccine-preventable but fatal for non-vaccinated animals once symptoms appear. To learn more about the recent findings, click on the link below.
