The Morning Sun Crew had a great weekend at the Blue Ridge field trial. Morning Sun Eclipse, MH QA2, owned by Wendy and handled by Gordon Carrol placed second and Hunter’s Black Dog #7, Co-owned with Deb Hunter earned a 3 rd in his first Q. Thank you to Jeff Talley and Lee Hicks for a challenging qualifying the land owners and the club members for all the work to put on a great trial.

Back Bay Retriever Club would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to our judges who set up challenging, fair and sensible tests, landowners Neil and Leslie for the use of the awesome grounds at Shady Grove shooting preserve and sporting clays, all the participants and the army of volunteers and workers that enabled us to run our dogs over the weekend.

Despite the November like weather, our crew had an awesome weekend at the Back Bay Spring Hunt Test, Belle owned by Buddy and Margaret Daniels, completed her Master Hunter Title, Jack, Co-owned with Deb Hunter and Iris both earned their first Master Passes, Wicked owned by Alex Sedelak passed two Senior tests. As always an efficient well run event by the Back Bay crew, thanks to the gracious Land owners Neil Selby and Leslie Carter, to all the club members and workers that made it happen!!

Wendy and I would like to wish all of our clients, training partners and friends a Merry Christmas and a very Happy and Prosperous New Year. 2023 has been a blessing to our family and business, we are grateful for all we have accomplished, and look forward to a great 2024. A very special thank you to Alec, Tianna, Ella, Klay and Sahara for all their hours of helping our dogs learn.

Our team had a great day at the Back Bay Knotts Island club double junior hunt test today, Plotner’s Midnight Sun JH, Luna , 0wned by Mathew Plotners, Sadie Mae Redifer, JH owned by Klay Redifer both qualified in both tests and completed their Junior Hunter titles, Hunter’s Wicked as he Seems, Wicked, owned by Alex Sedlacek passed both his tests, thanks to all the judges, landowner Phyllis Giroux and all the workers that made this possible.

Huge Congratulations go out to Owner/Trainer/Handler Gordon Carrol and Morning Sun Beysi for Winning the Derby stake today at BBKI Double D/Q. Beysi is out of our Morning Sun Eclipse, MH QAA. Great Job Gordon, the hard work is paying off! Big shout out to the Valley Retrievers training group that help make all of our dogs better!!

The Boys are Back, The Morning Sun team arrived in Manitoba today and got it done on grouse. Darryl Cross with Stella MSR trained and Millie, Taylor Farms, Rob and Anna Maria Murphy, Bernie trained at MSR, Blaine Brown, Topper born and started at MSR.

We had a GREAT weekend at the PVGRC fall hunt test. Sadie Mae Redifer, owned and handled by Klay Redifer, Plotner’s Midnight Sun, Luna, owned by Mathew Plotner both earned their 3 rd Junior Hunter Pass, Daniel Tannenbaum Jinglebelle, Belle, owned by Buddy and Margaret Daniels earned her 4 th Master pass and Hunter’s I’m Your Huckleberry Finn, MH, owned by Charles Shumaker completed his Master title. Thanks to PVGRC and its members, the judges and the gracious landowners at Rovers Content for putting on a great Hunt test.
