💬 Words carry weight. The words we speak—whether carelessly or with intention—can build up or tear down, heal or hurt, bring life or destruction.

This week, as we studied James 3:1-12, we were reminded of the power of the tongue and how difficult it is to tame. Our words can praise God one moment and wound others the next. But what if we paused before we spoke? What if we invited God’s Word to shape our own?

If someone’s words have stung you, step away and turn to your heavenly Father. Let His truth soothe and heal what was broken. Instead of dwelling on hurtful words, meditate on His promises.

💜 But what if you were the one who spoke words that hurt? We’ve all been there—saying something in frustration or without thinking. If that’s you, there is grace. Ask for forgiveness, from both God and the person you hurt, and commit to using your words to bring life instead of pain.

Dwelling on hurtful words can weigh us down and steal our peace. But when we turn to God’s Word, we are reminded of His unwavering presence, love, and truth. He is with us, strengthening us in every situation

✨ Challenge:
🕊 Before you speak today, ask yourself: Will this reflect the love of Christ?
📖 When words hurt, replace them with God’s truth and let His peace guard your heart.

Join the Ft. Dix Chapel Protestant Community for a family bible study tonight at 5:30pm in the Ft. Dix Fellowship Hall! These evenings are full of fellowship and time diving deeper into the Bible together. This study is family style and dinner is included, so feel free to bring along your husband, kids, or invite a friend for this wonderful time in the Word.

We weren’t created just to go through the motions. God calls us to an active, living faith—one that shows mercy, kindness, and love to those around us. It’s easy to say we trust God, but do our actions reflect that trust?

🌿 Living the Word 🌿

James 1:22 reminds us:
"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says."

The blessing doesn’t come just from reading the Word but from living it out.

Are you simply marking your Bible, or is your Bible marking you? Is the Word taking root in your heart and producing fruit in your life?

This weekend, let’s pray:
💜 Holy Spirit, help me muster the strength to obey. Let Your Word transform me, not just inspire me. May my speech be controlled, my service be selfless, and my heart be set apart for You.

Let’s not just hear the Word—let’s live it!
