Hey everyone! We are going to start sending reminders for your pups the day before their appointment. We have had quite a bit of no shows lately, and unfortunately most of time it’s too late to fill the spot. With that being said, if you no show, an invoice for the full amount of the groom cost will be sent to you, that must be paid before your next appointment.

Since we are closed on Wednesdays and the weekends, reminders for Monday appointments will be sent on Friday and reminders for Thursday appointments will be sent on Tuesday.

Just a reminder for an 8:00 appointment you can drop off anytime between 7:45-8:00. For a 1:00 appointment you can drop off between 12:45-1:00.

We were able to get in three pups that were adopted from the pound within the last year, today! It is so exciting to see how much they have changed from when they were brought into the pound as a stray. Words cannot express how grateful I am for these wonderful people that have adopted these wonderful pups! You definitely can tell how loved and spoiled they are now! 💕💕

We can’t wait to be a part of this market!! We will be selling our handmade collars and leashes! My little sister will also be joining, selling her beaded keychains and wristlets! See you tomorrow!

The big day is tomorrow!! As a reminder ALL 3 streets around the park will be blocked off, parking will be available at the school/museum lot located at 515 School St. We will have a golf cart hauling folks to and from the park so of you need a ride hang tight and someone will be there to get you picked up! Can't wait to see you all tomorrow 💓

We are going to be opening our books for next years appointments! Everyone seems to like booking in advance, so we are going to continue doing so! Every client that booked in advance for this year, will get priority. If something has changed in your schedule or know of any plans/vacations you may have, please let us know and we will try our best to schedule around it!

If you are interested in a puppy, he’s the one! Such a sweet boy. Fill out your applications through Moffitt Animal Shelter, get approved, and you can meet him tomorrow morning during our bathing event!

🐶 A little about Pups & Paws Pound and why they are in dire need.

Pups & Paws took in a huge hoard case and they are struggling. In total they have 30 animals in their care. Way more than they ever have had. All of these animals, strays and from the hoard, are all in need of vet care (vaccinated and spayed/neutered) before they can be adopted out. Meaning a HUGE vet bill. Depending on the animal and male/female, it ranges from $100-$300 PER ANIMAL. On top of that, these animals will stay in the pounds care until adopted out or a shelter is found, which could take months as all shelters are full..

Pups & Paws Pound recently took in A LOT of dogs that all need vet care. In order for these pups to find new homes or shelter placement, they are required to have rabies and distemper vaccines, and spayed/neutered (if going to a home). This ranges from $100-$300 depending on cat/dog and male/female. This doesn’t count the vet care they need due to the conditions they are in.

With that being said, until the end of September, ALL proceeds from purchasing our handmade collars and leashes will be going to them to help! Cash only so we can directly hand it to them!

If you are wanting a matching set and don’t see the matching leash/collar, or see one you like in the wrong size, please let me know! If we have the fabric to make it, we will!

Britt’s Spaw pups & owners,

I would like to thank everyone for being so understanding during my maternity leave! I just got the all clear from my doctor, so I will be back at my original start date, August 26th. I may move some clients around to lessen my load coming back, as I still need to be very careful! Also, appointments will take longer than normal for awhile as I will be taking it quite a bit slower than normal. Your appointment may run over the normal 12:00 or 4:00 time.

Price increase notice:
This price increase is only for pups that get a haircut longer than 1/2”. I have realized how much longer it takes to prep and groom pups that get a longer haircut and the toll it takes on my wrists. After timing myself before I went on leave, I have noticed these haircuts take almost double the time. There will be a $15 increase for these haircuts EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. Please note that if your pup gets a 1/2”, and the following appointment is a maintenance, this fee will apply to the maintenance cost as well. If you have any questions regarding this, please let me know!! EDIT:: most clients get shorter than 1/2”.

Also, I have been contacted by quite a few clients about new puppies they have added to their family. As much as I wish I could groom everyone’s fur baby, it is impossible, and I can’t keep up. Unfortunately I will not be able to add any new pups to the books, even if you are an existing client. But I will add you to my cancellation list and add to the list for next year, but unfortunately I cannot guarantee a spot, which breaks my heart.

Hey everyone!! Pups & Paws Pound recently has taken in quite a bunch of animals and are looking for some help! If anyone has any cans laying around, please consider donating them. The can area is located against the garage/the pound at our shop!

They are also in need of dog and cat food, clumping kitty litter, blankets and/or towels, and cleaning supplies.

Any donations can be left outside the house or garage!!

Due to a higher intake of animals here lately...we wanted to remind you of our can drop off. Believe it or not these funds help us out TREMENDOUSLY !!!! The funds go directly to our vet costs and any other needs we have at the time. So as your doing your cleanup, camping or just plain partying....think about dropping off your beverage cans to us or Moffitt animal shelter to be a part of helping us find forever homes for our fur babies!!

Little Kolter Hovey made his debut on Tuesday!

Delivery didn’t go the way we wanted, so we will be moving appointments back one week at this time. I will be messaging everyone their new schedule when I am feeling up to it! I still have to get the all clear to come back from my doctor in August. We are so glad he is here and healthy and I am healing up well so far!

Hey Everyone!!

I have been getting quite a bit of messages about people’s pups getting out due to the fireworks. I am not the owner and have nothing to do with the Pup’s & Paws Pound besides being at the same location. They are located in the garage on the same property as us!

With that being said, if your animal makes its way there, please contact them to get them! I have no way of knowing if your animal is in there or helping to get it out!

Ashleigh will take the upmost care of your pet while in her care!

I am officially on maternity leave! Thank you to all of my amazing clients for being so understanding and thoughtful!! As of right now, I will be returning the end of August. If anything changes, I will message everyone that is booked to reschedule.

As a reminder, I am fully booked the rest of the year and unfortunately I am not taking new clients at this time.

Attention Britt’s Spaw Clients:

We would like to kindly remind everyone of our drop off/pick up times and policies.

If your appointment is scheduled for 8am, drop off will be allowed from 7:45am to 8am. Your dog must be picked up before 12pm as we will be closed from 12pm to 12:45pm. If you are not able to pick up your pup before 12pm you will be charged a $10 late fee and will be able to pick them up when we reopen at 12:45pm. If your appointment is scheduled for 1pm, drop off will be allowed from 12:45 to 1pm. All dogs with a 1pm appointment must be picked up before 4pm as we will be closed. If you are unable to pick up before closing there will be an over night boarding fee of $20/night. You will be able to retrieve your pup the following business day at opening. A reminder text will be sent out if your pup(s) have not been dropped off 5 minutes past your appointment time. After a no show of 10 minutes past your appointment time, your appointment will be canceled and an invoice will be sent for the full groom cost.

We apologize for any inconvenience this might bring, but will not tolerate any rude behavior towards these policies that were posted at the beginning of the year.

I know we have told many that we are booked for the year and have a cancellation list, but we have hired a groomer that specializes in desheds!! She is temporary, and is helping Britt get caught up! We will be messaging clients with double coats from our cancellation lists to get on her books. Please comment below or message us to either make sure you are on the list or so we can add you to it!
