A great little video of Smokey demonstrating the importance of the "warm up" or "engagement practice" before we did our obedience over to the ball game. One of my main focuses when training is to paint the picture of myself, or the handler, as "the best thing around!" And due to that training he now decides on his own to put himself in the heeling position, or decide on his own to continue returning to handler through the help of positive reinforcement. So proud of this kid!

Daisy went home today after completing a 4 week Board and Train primarily focused on recall and e collar training. Daisy had some issues ignoring her e collar prior to training with me, and when given the chance would run away. Through a lot of relationship building and positive reinforcement/clicker training, we were not only able to achieve a verbal recall and stim-based recall, but we were able to create a dog that CHOOSES and finds value in staying with you, even when given the chance ignore or run away. Miss Daisy- WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!!!

From start to finish! Bear has been here working through his dog reactivity for the last month. We are so proud of how far he's come, and even more excited to continue the work with his family through lessons and homework. Go team Bear!❤️🖤
8 month old collie Luna goes home today after completing a 4 week board and train heavily focused on engagement outside of the home, neutralizing her reactivity and fixing some extreme leash pulling that caused her to essentially run in place on walks. Luna's genetics due to her breed entice her into extreme prey drive especially regarding cars. I am SO impressed and proud of Lunas progress during her time with me and how much behavior modification we were able to complete with positive reinforcement and free shaping as our primary methods! Luna learned the e collar for recall to provide us with a back up plan for recall and to expand her privileges in life. Go team Luna!
Relationship based training-Happy is a fantastic example of how far relationship based training and free shaping obedience can go! 4 weeks ago I was told he had the tendency to run away if given the opportunity. Now he is so eager and excited to do the work he's doing it on his own, without commands and with the help of positive reinforcement. The e collar also helped us define boundaries and secure a non verbal recall in case he gets a little too distracted and forgets what he's doing- after all he is a puppy! I am so proud of how far happy has come and so excited to continue elevating his training in the follow up lessons with his family. ❤️🖤
