Looking for winter board? Vertical Farm and Viridian Farm in Fort Edward both have stall board available! Indoors with well maintained footing, heated tack and bathroom, wash stall with hot and cold water, spacious turnout. Both farms are operated by Vertical Farm managers and staff. Excellent and comprehensive care. On sight USDF Certified Dressage Instructor as well as jumping lessons and training available!

Lots of great guesses. Jody was riding with two whips and worked on keeping them crossed at the handles. This was to help her develop a better feel of keeping her hands together and even without letting them drift apart or lower one rein more than the other unintentionally. This would not be done as part of a daily training method but was just to help correct a specific issue that she has been struggling with.

Any guesses what Jody was working hard on in her lesson today?

Some jumping fun last night...finished off the jump lesson with a jump off... First place was a tie @ 3'6"

Alyssa Crean and her horse Valor have been working hard the last year. Valor was very tight, inverted and stiff in his back. Yesterday they had a lesson and the difference is huge! There's always improvements to be made, but this pair is showing some great progress. The word "stretch" wasn't a part of Valors vocabulary a year ago!

These ladies were working hard today on the cold. Both were practicing shoulder fore and working towards shoulder in. Great suppling exercise!

Some of you may remember "Eddie", now Theodore. We just got an update from his new owner. He is living his best life near Chicago and looks amazing. Carly is having a super time with him. He just celebrated his 5th birthday!

Offered for sale. 15-17yr old mare. Approximately 14hh. Sturdy and very sure footed. Loves to trail ride and has done several off propertytrail rides this summer. Loads and trailers easily. Has been turned out with mares and geldings. Used to being ridden by an average size adult. Please pm for additional details.

Willow is one of my horses in training owned by Jody. She is a 9yr old Dutch Warmblood mare that will be showing 1st level this year. She enjoyed some work in the hay field on a cooler day last week. The open space and interested surroundings helped her be forward thinking while the rolling terrain helped her strength and fitness.

If you’re looking for high quality and personal service, you’ve come to the right place. At Vertical Farm we’ll give you the attention and personal service you’ll come to expect and enjoy. We offer the best in riding lessons of many disciplines as well as family fun events. Let us put our experience to work for you. Our main location is conveniently located at 10140 State Rte. 149, Fort Ann, NY 12827, 5.6 miles east from the Lake George outlets. Look for the many horse paddocks on the right (South) side of the road. There is a large blue sign with our name as well as a Vertical Farm banner on a grey barn by the road.

Now introducing our second location! We now offer boarding and lessons at “Vertical Stables” at 79 County Route 42 in Fort Edward, NY 12828. If our main events, boarding and lesson stable in Fort Ann is too far for you, have no fear! You can now join us at Vertical Stables for the same great care. From Adirondack Northway, take Exit 17N to Route 9 and turn right on Reynolds Rd. Continue over Hudson Falls bridge and turn right to follow signs for County Route 42. We are located less than a half mile up on the left hand side. There is a large blue “Vertical Stables” sign at the road and our stables are light blue with white fencing.
