Was asked to taking a horse today I said yes that I would because they said they were going to put it down if they could not find a home and I didn't want to see it put down however the Amish place where it was staying they put it down on their own without the owners knowledge I am super upset by this the horse did not deserve to lose his life due to the ignorance of the Amish

I have been working on developing this rescue for three years now. We became a 501 c3 non profit this year and are now working on the state license. I have had a huge delay in that process due to being very sick with COVID-19 this spring. And then the long term effects of that has definitely delayed that however it will be done soon. I am begining to feel much better and anxious to proceed . All animals deserve to live a full life and that's our goal to give that forever last home for any farm animals. However the horses and burros need desperate help and after fostering five horse's a few years ago. Taught me a lot about them I thought I knew but nope learned tons. I made some mistakes with them yes I definitely did but I believe I learned from that experience and now am better knowledgeable about them. I miss them five horse's something aweful. I did truly fall in love with them and it hurt when they left . I need to fill that void I feel because of their absence and do much better this time. We have to admit to our mistakes but we also have to have learned something from them.

We need to talk for those who can't. The killing of horses for meat is a disgrace that needs to be fixed. We do this but going to auctions and buying them to save them. Senator's need to stop this practice of shipping to Canada or Mexico
