Today we sprung Joey nka Hooch from the joint on behalf of Shar Pei Nation Rescue, Inc. 501c3 and then helped him get to his foster! He joins Dash, who we helped on his journey a few weeks ago. Check out Dash body slam Hooch 😂😂
Have dogs, will travel 🙌🏻. Picked up these two - tripod, Trinity, and her baby, Oreo (that were saved from the streets of the Bahamas by amazing rescue rockstars) from Miami International yesterday, now taking them to Ocala, then road angels Linda, Lisa, Laura will take them to Tallahassee, where professional driver Becky takes them the rest of the way to their rescue in Ohio. (First two cuties in the video are my babies).
About five weeks ago, Madi and I asked for your help to pay the transport costs to get two big dogs, in horrible conditions, from St. Kitts to the U.S. where they could find loving homes. Rye lived her life on an incredibly short chain, with no freedom to be the loving dog we know her to be. Theo was found emaciated and covered in mange, surviving off trash in a landfill.
Well thanks to the generous donations from: Alyce, Jim, Chrissy, Lior, Jenna, Einat, Laurel, Pam, and Alyssa; the time dedicated by volunteer drivers Kerry, Michelle, Kim R., Deena, Terri, Diane, Hollis, Melanie, Lorraine, Kim B., Sandy, Kate, Teresa, Carol, Carolyn, Drew, Sarah, and Ashley; and our amazing partner rescues Giant Hearts Giant Dogs Rescue and Burlington County Animal Alliance, we were able to get not only the two bigs over, but also added on a little 30 lb Scruffy guy, and another St. Kitts puppy. Quadrouple save thanks to all of you!! They are all safe and in fosters in the U.S. 😃
Check out these before and after photos! (FB only allowing one video per post - check the comments for the others)
Paws2Go has 2 large dogs in St. Kitts that we are hoping to bring to the US and send to Giant Dogs Giant Hearts rescue. Due to their size, it will cost just under $900 to ship both of them to the US, which is not feasible for us so we need help raising this money!
Theo is a 2 year old Great Dane mix. He was originally found in the landfill in very rough shape, he was taken in and fixed up by BARC, a local group on the island
Rye (seen in the video) is a 2 year old “mini” corso, the owner is willing to surrender her to us so she can get off of the chain and find a new home!
Once we raise enough, their flights will be booked. Any extra money will go towards sending another dog, there so many highly adoptable dogs with rescue interest if we can get them off of the island!

Todays passenger is Apollo! Apollo was the last of the C litter, who watched as his siblings Chia, Coconut, Cashew, Carter, and Cameron made their way the US. Unfortunately while waiting his turn for a flight buddy he got too big 😭. Only puppies under 18 lbs (allowing 2 lbs for the carrier) can fly in the cabin with a flight buddy. Once they are over that, they can only fly as cargo and the price to get them to the U.S. more than doubles (for the big dogs it can actually cost 4x as much).
All Caribbean based rescues are in desperate need of flight buddy volunteers who can bring these puppies over before they get too big. Rescues like Operation Liberation also need help moving cats/kittens if that’s more up your alley. If you are planning a trip to any Caribbean island, please get in contact with a rescue group in that country, or Paws2Go to see how you may be able to help bring back a puppy or kitty in need.
We thought Apollo was going to be stuck living life as an island dog but luckily one of the graduating vet students decided he deserved to come live his life in the US like all his siblings. She adopted him and paid the costly airline fees to get him over, plus professional transport with Blooper Animal Rescue & Transport on Thursday to get him up to her in MD, and Paws2Go picked him up from Miami International Airport.
Thank you so much to Peyton for sending him, Charlie for adopting him, Lauren Cantrell for fostering overnight in Jacksonville, the relay drivers tomorrow (Amber, Diane Saralino Jamieson, Michele Skelton, Michelle), and Kelby Shults for taking him the rest of the way! And of course, as always the biggest thanks to Madi Joselyn for being the mastermind behind all things St. Kitts rescue related ❤️🥰
Today’s freedom ride is for senior, Lil Bit, out of Miami Dade Animal Shelter, who had a due out date of yesterday! Luckily they agreed to hold onto her for one extra day. She may be old, blind, partially deaf, with a mass…but she still likes toys! She was pulled by Fauna’s Fosters in Gainesville, FL, and she’ll be hitching a ride with Chico up that way tomorrow. 🐾
Dolly and Coconut
Yesterday, Paws2Go and Madi Joselyn had another successful transport of two puppies from St. Kitts, through MIA, up to NC, and soon onto NJ. We also had the smallest nugget we’ve ever transported, little Dolly at only 1.2 lbs 🥺. As always a HUGE THANK YOU to our relay drivers and NC fosters!!
And a special thank you to Einat Lapidot and her hubby who rushed right over to my house to receive the puppies when the person I had arranged to be there went MIA for a bit. Thank you sooooo much!!!

Zoey’s journey to Jax
Operation Liberation saved Zoey back in early April when her dad went into hospice and his family members couldn’t take her. Liz took great care of her in foster while she looked for a local adopter, but no luck. Paws2Go stepped in and was able to find a rescue in Massachusetts that could take her. She has a much better chance of finding a good home in the Northeast than she does here, and she has a foster up there ready to go when she clears importation isolation. Thank you Liz for saving her, to Maria, Deena, Melany, Justin for getting her to Jacksonville on Thursday, Lauren for hanging onto her for a few hours, and to Bloopers Animal Rescue Transport for taking her the rest of the way!! #ThanksVillage
Egypt makes her U.S. debut!
Yesterday was a GREAT, albeit frustrating lol, day!! We helped Egypt, a dog born with birth defects in her legs, get from the streets of St. Kitts (where she was obviously starving) to a loving home in the U.S.
We had to pick her up from one cargo facility, clear U.S. Customs and Border Protection, then get dropped off at another cargo facility, with a stop over at Miami International Airport Terminal D because of some outdated information.
Egypt powered through two big flights to end up in Colorado where she was reunited with her new adoptive parents, veterinarians who had been doing volunteer vet work on Nevis where they saw and fell in love with Egypt. Luckily we had a little time between flights to get her to a little park near the airport for potty/water/a little food. Egypt will be getting the surgery she has desperately needed and live out her life as a much loved house pet in CO. 💕
