The owner of South Florida Pet Sitter in Fort Lauderdale, FL, couldn't agree more, which is why their facility is like a home away from home for cats and dogs alike. Opening their doors to a variety of pets, they have provided professional pet sitting and dog walking services for over four years. Most pet owners consider their pets to be a part of their family and expect nothing short of the best

for them. Here's what you can expect from this quality, cage-free boarding service:

24-Hour Supervision: Your pet will receive personalized one-on-one attention from the owner's loving family, each one of whom has a lifelong passion for animals. They consider all pets to be fully-fledged family members and treat them as such. Personalized Schedules: South Florida Pet Sitter will keep your pet on the same diet and schedule he or she is used to, making the transition from home to daycare or overnight boarding that much easier. Secure Backyards: Your pet will get plenty of fresh air and exercise with the protection afforded by two spacious backyards. Since only a limited amount of pets are housed at a time, there's plenty of room in these fully fenced-in areas for everyone to relax and stretch out! Professionally Administered Medications: Not every pet boarding facility administers medication, but South Florida Pet Sitter does, including pills and injections. All pets deserve quality cage-free boarding, including chronically ill or diabetic pets. In-Home Cat Sitters: Not only are your pets welcome in South Florida Pet Sitter's comfortable home, but pet sitters can also come to your house for daily cat visits, which is a convenient option for cats who can't leave home. Pick Up & Drop Off Services: Struggling with a busy schedule? No problem! South Florida Pet Sitter will pick up and drop off your pet, fitting the needs of your personal day-to-day schedule. Finding a pet sitter you can trust isn't easy. South Florida Pet Sitter has a proven track record of caring for every pet, meeting their individual needs. Leave your pet in the capable hands of a service that holds the same values as you because your pet deserves nothing but the best. National Dog Day is celebrated on August 26 every year. We're all dog lovers and we really want to give our furry friends the best we can. If you find one of these, leave it alone! Today Miami-Dade Animal Services staff began placing edible rabies vaccines around dumpsters and waterways where wildlife are found. These vaccine bait packets are about the size of a blade of grass and coated with fishmeal, so they’re appetizing to animals like raccoons and coyotes. They’re not dangerous to people or pets, but it’s best to leave the bait where you found it.

This is a countywide effort to boost immunity against rabies in our wildlife population, to proactively protect our community and our pets.

Protocols and Preventive Measures:

Cleanliness has always been of utmost importance, and we follow strict sanitation and hygiene protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment for all of our clients. While there is no evidence that dogs or cats can carry the virus, however, we continue to follow the guidance of the CDC and local health authorities, and have implemented the following additional measures as a precaution:
Increased frequency of cleaning all surfaces inside and outside our home using pet-friendly products
Continued practice of keep all cleaning products inside cabinets and far from the reach of pets
Increased frequency of hand-washing and using an alcohol-based gel sanitizer according to the CDC’s recommendations
Disinfecting pet leashes with pet-friendly products

We hope this provides you with some reassurance and the support you need. We look forward to seeing our furry friends soon.

Sincerely,

South Florida Pet Sitter

The current situation may have caused a disruption in your travel plans and lifestyle, but it doesn’t have to for your pets. Let us help take the load off your shoulders with our services: doggy daycare, park playdate, daily walks, and pet errands like pet store runs and vet appointments.

We at South Florida Pet Sitter have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation, and want you to know that the health, safety, and wellbeing of our pets and clients are top priority. While this virus does not affect our beloved furry ones, we understand and share your concerns around it.

At this time, we wanted to let you know how we could offer additional support over the next few weeks:

Flexibility:

Flexible Bookings: We understand that the spread of the coronavirus may have caused a disruption in your travel plans—be it cancelled flights or cruises, travel bans or restrictions, or general concern around travel. If you are looking to plan future travel but are unsure if plans will change due to the uncertainty of the situation, our flexible booking policy allows you to cancel or postpone your rescheduled pet service to a future date at no penalty

Additional Services And Support:

With the recent announcement of Broward and Miami-Dade counties closing schools due to the coronavirus, in addition to health authorities recommending “social distancing” to help prevent the spread of the virus, we know you are likely to limit your outdoor activities, spend more time caring for your children, and also work from home. We can also understand you may be wary of visiting dog parks or even going to stores at this time.

Nevertheless, pets may get bored and restless (and will need to burn some energy), and you will need to replenish your basic pet essentials. For this reason, we are offering the following services to help ease the process (all services include free pick-up and drop-off):

“Move The Stay, Keep The Play”: If you had an overnight service booked with us that you have to change due to cancelled travel plans, you can choose to swap overnight service for playtime for your pet.

Doggy Daycare: Send your pup to South Florida Pet Sitter for either a half-day or full day. This will include feedings, a walk, and at least an hour of playtime in our backyard.

Daily Walks: Opt for a leashed walk around your neighborhood to ensure your pup gets his or her dose of daily exercise, and some fresh air.

Park Playdates: If your pup is an avid park-goer, you do not have to disrupt his or her routine. South Florida Pet Sitter can take your beloved pets to their favorite park for 30 mins - 1 hour of dedicated playtime.

Pet Errands: If you are practicing social distancing and are reducing the time spent outside your home, we can run your pet errands on your behalf. This includes anything from pet store runs when online stores are backed up, to vet appointments and grooming appointments.

This is Lady. She was the sweetest, most affectionate, playful girl. Lady was overbreed- her pups used for fighting. When she was rescued and came to her current foster mom, her neck looked like it was burned and raw from being tied up so tightly. She has many of scars on her face and body as well as other attributes of an overbreed, neglected dog. We can only imagine how difficult her life was. It amazes me how, dogs are treated so inhumanely, abused and still have it in them to forgive humans and love unconditionally. Grace Carricarte
