Punishing a dog fairly and appropriately does not ruin the relationship, it provides your dog more freedom with less issues. Simple.
🔁 do it again, and make it more difficult.

Boo is an anxious and fearful dog that has resorted to reactivity and in some cases even biting. Boo is learning to trust in his handlers that they will lead him with confidence. We are working to gradually condition him to situations or stimuli that would typically cause him any stress or anxiety, as well as show him that he can trust we will control the environment and keep him safe. This video is an example of how we use parkour to help anxious or fearful dogs cope with the environment in addition to building their confidence. #dogs #dogtrainer #anxiousdog #fearfuldog #dogbehavior #dogtrainingtips #dogtraining #doglover #parkour #dogtrainingexperience
Fall in love with the process of training with your dog, the mistakes and the successes. Try to learn more about your dog, invest in your relationship to get the most out it. Most people focus too much on the end results, they want their dog to behave well around distractions, they want their dog to stop barking and biting, they want their dog to follow every command every time but they haven’t truly taken the time to understand their dog and their needs. Dog training is more than good obedience. It’s clear communication and respect on both sides 🐾🖤#dogsofinstagram #dogtrainer #dogtraining #doglife #dogs #rescuedog #dogwalking #dogreactivity #dogoftheday #dogtips #dogtrainingtips
The first step to dog training is understanding dogs
Take the time to get to know your dog, find what motivates them while learning more about dog behavior and breed characteristics.
Proper balanced training is relationship based training for the real world. Combining both conditioning with chemistry. Understanding the animal and how to communicate in a peaceful and respectful manner.
So if you’re struggling with a dog that doesn’t follow commands, acts out in public, or lacks boundaries. You need to learn more about dogs and how they think and behave as dogs not humans. This is the first step to actually teaching our dogs how to function in a human world.
Effective dog training is a lifestyle and not just 10 mins a day of training.
Although practicing behaviors and obedience is necessary it won’t solve all the issues you’re having at home. That is just one small step in the entire process of behavior modification.
A lot of people that are still struggling with getting results in their training lack boundaries. Once we decided to bring dogs into our human lives we took the responsibility to create an environment that would allow them to coexist with us without chaos or destruction. At the end of the day they are still animals none the less.
Finding the right balance of love and respect with our K9 companions is the path to success on your training journey.

Hey everyone! 👋 We wanted to start the new year off with an about us, get to know the duo of CPL! First off, my name is Amanda and I am the head trainer and owner of CPL Canine Pack Leaders, I began working with dogs at daycares and vet clinics in 2013. My passion for training began when I adopted Tequila who is also featured here in this reel. Tequila is the inspiration for this company and our philosophy. Her high drive and reactivity to other dogs was a lot to handle when she was first adopted, this motivated me to learn as much as I could about dog behavior and training. We have been able to develop an amazing bond through clear communication, boundaries, and mutual understanding. After years of mentorships, seminars, webinars, training mistakes and victories here we are. We are both constantly learning on our journey together to help other dog owners and their canine companions. Thank you for following the CPL family! We look forward to sharing more training tips, updates, and adventures with you all! Show some support by liking this post or commenting below ❤️
Listen people these are the facts … you don’t do the work you don’t get results Any project or task you have set for yourself will only get better or closer to the outcome with consistent practice! Even if your dog is the Michael Jordan of dog training, championship rings don’t come from practicing once a week. They come from hours of dedication put on and off the court. So if you decide to train inconsistently expect to see inconsistencies in your dogs behavior as well. Within our 1:1 training programs we offer supplemental aid that is easy to understand and reiterates the steps that are given within the classes. We pride ourselves in being available to support our clients after each session, our trainers are open during hours to all questions by phone calls, emails, and/or texts. Message or call us now to learn more about our programs!
Are you having a difficult time with seeing results or progress within your training?
Make sure to evaluate your process and seek out help when needed! Training once a week or expecting to learn everything from small clips you find on social media is not likely to get you closer to your goals.
Take the necessary steps so that you and your dog can live up to your fullest potential!
