For today's , we’re sharing a special moment from C.A.T. therapy dog, Chase, who had the honor of attending the deployment of 67 soldiers at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Palm Beach. As they gathered with their families over breakfast and lunch, hosted by the American Legion, Chase was right there to offer tail wags and comforting snuggles. It was a meaningful day to connect with soldiers and their families before their journey ahead. 🇺🇸

We’re grateful for these service members’ dedication and the chance to send these men and women off on a “paw-sitive” note. 🐾💜

Today we are incredibly saddened by the loss of a very special therapy dog named Astro. But despite feeling sad, we know that's not what Astro would want. He would want us to feel love. That was one of his gifts. He brought his love to everyone he met. 💜

In Astro's years as a therapy dog with C.A.T., he and his handler, Jill, dedicated hundreds of hours of service and brought smiles to thousands of people in our community. Astro brought companionship to seniors in nursing homes and hospice, he encouraged struggling students to read, he comforted pediatric patients, he lifted the spirits of those feeling down. He touched countless lives with his gentle soul and endless love. And he never let his own challenges get in the way of living and spreading joy - a lesson we can all take to heart.

Thank you for your service, Astro. You will forever live on in our hearts and in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing you. Rest in peace sweet boy. We love you. 🌈🐾

Meet therapy dog Cody: Cody is a 2 year old Goldendoodle, he loves to eat almost anything (except broccoli), he loves to play fetch and catch with a tennis ball, and he loves car rides. Cody goes to schools for reading programs, hospitals (adult and children) for visits with both patients and staff, a memory center for residents, and drug recovery facilities, he goes to corporate visits and college campuses to visit students. Some of the locations he visits are Cleveland Clinic, Kids Miracle Steps, The Palace at Weston, Destination Hope, Belmont Village, and Riverglades Elementary School.

Meet therapy dog Astro: Astro is a 15 year old miniature Schnauzer. He was adopted from TriCounty Humane Society. Little guy has 2 sister cats at home, Sugar and Spice. Astro has been a therapy dog for over 10 years. He makes friends at schools, hospitals and nursing homes regularly. When he’s not providing comfort and joy to all he meets, Astro enjoys traveling to new places. He has been over the Golden Gate Bridge and to NYC. Favorite off duty activities include riding in the car with his head out of the window. Hanging out on the boat, and Stroller Surfing. His favorite food is chicken and vanilla ice cream.

Meet Therapy dog Archie! Archie is a 4 year old Golden Retriever, he was rescued from the China meat trade in 2021 by Golden Rescue South Florida. He has been a therapy dog for two years. He regularly visits at risk youth at Covenant House and also visits seniors in memory care. When not doing therapy work he enjoys a class where he does rally, nose work and obstacle course. He loves treats and keeping an eye on his parent’s 2 year old Grandson.❤️🐾

Hi, my name is Douglas: I am a 5 year old Goldendoodle, graduated puppy KG and passed my Canine Good Citizen certification at the young age of 6 months. I joined Canine Assisted Therapy when I was 2 years old. I love working with kids at schools, hospitals and sporting events. My favorite toy is a ball or my stuffed lambie. My favorite food is chicken & rice, favorite color is green. I learned to count to 2, when asked if I want to go outside, bark twice, I will bark twice to alert my humans. I can be shy at first, I’m a puppy at heart and love to play puzzles and tug of war. I got in a lot of trouble as a puppy making me frequent visitor at the vet. I am very happy to meet you all and show my fun personality. ❤️🐾🐾

🐾 For this , our therapy dogs had a paw-sitively awesome time at the ribbon cutting for the new Scooby-Doo exhibit at Museum of Discovery and Science, presented locally by Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, Florida Prepaid College Plans and produced by The Children's Museum of Indianapolis. 🐶🎉 They were on hand to welcome excited students ready to do some detective work from Jack & Jill Center, Dr. Martin Luther King, and Jr. Montessori Academy. While Scooby-Doo might be famous for solving mysteries, our therapy dogs specialize in solving stress and bringing smiles! 😊 It was a perfect day for some Scooby snacks and tail wags! 🦴
