Finals week can be overwhelming. 😩
Yet, for students at colleges across our community, a visit from a therapy dog like Ranger offers a moment of calm, comfort, and connection.

These important visits reduce anxiety and support mental wellness. It’s not just the dogs, either! When our handlers sit with the students, they provide support and encouragement, as well, giving our handlers a deep sense of purpose and joy.

It takes a village, and your support makes these moments possible! 📚

In life, every so often, someone truly special comes along and makes a world of difference. For us, that person is our Board Chair, Nancy Brown. 🫶🏽

Since C.A.T.’s inception in 2009, Nancy has been by our side, advocating for our mission. Her journey with us began over 16 years ago. Her love for dogs and passion for helping others connected her to our cause, and she’s been our most steadfast supporter ever since.

Nancy’s leadership, compassion, and tenacity inspire us every day. We’re proud to have her in our pack, and even more grateful to call her a friend.

Today, on National Philanthropy Day, we celebrate our longest-running supporter, Nancy, and everyone who gives to make a bigger impact. Thank you. We appreciate you. We celebrate you. 💜

In classrooms for children with special needs, therapy dogs do more than bring joy, they help build confidence, reduce stress, and gently encourage communication where words don’t always come easily.

These aren’t just visits.
They’re breakthroughs.
Moments when a child feels seen, safe, and supported. 💜

🐾 Give today to support Chico's Challenge. Bring more healing, more growth, and more joy into the lives of children who need it most.

Halloween may be over, but the smiles these pups brought are still going strong! 🧡 Our therapy dogs made some magical visits over the last two weeks, bringing joy, comfort, and even a little costume cuteness to lots of people. The pups made appearances at places like Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, Covenant House, The Museum of Discovery and Science, Aston Gardens, West Coast University, Boeing and more!

During the holiday season, visits like these mean even more. While many are celebrating with friends and family, others may be feeling lonely, unseen, or overwhelmed. Therapy dogs bring more than just smiles — they offer connection, comfort, and hope. Let's learn from our therapy dogs and start this holiday season off with a little extra love, patience and acceptance.
