I chose to take on the mammoth task to train for and run a marathon in memory of my dad and to show support for The British Heart Foundation (BHF) which also happens to be this year’s London Marathon’s official Charity of the Year. Dad had a heart bypass at the early age of 56 and later without warning he suffered a stroke which deeply affected the rest of his life.
The British Heart Foundation fund £100 million of research each year into all heart and circulatory diseases and the things that cause them. Heart diseases. Stroke. Vascular dementia. Diabetes. They're all connected, and they're all under The British Heart Foundation microscope.
All donations, no matter how small helps this valuable work to continue to help save lives. Thank you for your support.
