These are the unproven allegations he has gone public with. ANOTHER SEAQUEST LOCATION HAS FAILED!!!!!!!
Seaquest in Littleton Colorado has been drowning in animal welfare violations since that s**t show opened. It brings us great pleasure to see yet another failing location close.
"The company has been cited numerous times by state and federal agencies. Incidents at the site included a sloth being severely burned by a heat lamp, patrons stomping birds to death, and several animals that drowned. There have also been over 40 incidents involving injuries from animal interactions. SeaQuest was also cited and paid fines for illegal animals trafficking."
SeaQuest Littleton will be closing its doors on Feb. 4, after six years in business. It follows after numerous citations from regulatory agencies and complaints from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, or PETA, centering around animal welfare and injuries to customers.

Concerns With SeaQuest
SeaQuest locations, including SeaQuest Littleton in Colorado and SeaQuest Las Vegas, have faced criticism for exploiting budgies.
In an incident at SeaQuest Littleton reported to Colorado officials, a child kicked, stomped on, and killed five birds, injuring other birds, too. State inspectors from the Colorado Department of Agriculture denied the facility a permit after it failed multiple prelicensing inspections. Officials had concerns about the bird exhibit, which they said was โpotentially dangerousโ for the animals. SeaQuest Littleton then transferred about 80 parakeets to a teenage employeeโwhose family advertised them onlineโand the birds were given away for free in a hardware store parking lot.
At SeaQuest Las Vegas, a whistleblower alleged that children had stomped on and killed birds there, too, and that workers had thrown the dead animals into the garbage.
Birds confined to and exploited in parakeet aviaries are easily injured and sometimes even fatally stomped on. PETA explains how you can help them.

The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale has leased a space to a roadside petting zoo called SeaQuest Since October 2018 they have lied multiple times about a โGrand Openingโ. While selling passes to something that does not exist, they have pushed back the date multiple times since October 2018 and now claim it is โearly 2020โ According to SeaQuest, they will house 1,200 wildl animals inside the shopping mall such as goats, pigs, otters, cats and dogs, capybaras, sloth, birds, tortoise, sharks, and stingrays.
SeaQuest CEO Vince Covino, his brother Ammon and all SeaQuest locations across the country have a long history of legal and criminal problems, violations and controversies surrounding animal care:
In July 2018, the SeaQuest aquarium in Littleton, Colorado was issued a cease and desist order after state inspectors found that its aviary was overcrowded, among other problems. SeaQuest also reportedly violated the law by importing three mammals into the state without permitsโand pictures from a citation report show a capybara and a two-toed sloth residing in the basement of a SeaQuest manager's home. Following the cease and desist order, SeaQuest allegedly gave 80 parakeets to a teenage employee, whose family then advertised the animals online and reportedly gave many of the animals away for free. These animals belong in their natural habitatsโnot in someone's basement or on display at a mall.
In April 2017 a former employee at SeaQuest Las Vegas came forward with disturbing reports about animals dying from neglect and mistreatment. The employee told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that at least 300 animals, including eels, stingrays and octopuses, died before the aquarium even opened.
An aquarium operated by the brothers in Portland, Oregon also faced accusations of poor animal care and large numbers of animal deaths (the Portland Aquarium closed in 2016).
In early 2017, Vince Corvino was fined $5,000 by the State of Idaho for failing to disclose his history of securities industry violations to potential investors in new SeaQuest aquariums (Covinoโs registration as a securities broker-dealer was suspended in 2011).
In December 2013, Ammon Covino was sentenced for ANIMAL TRAFFICKING, one year in federal prison for conspiring to purchase protected species of rays and sharks illegally captured in the Florida Keys for display at an aquarium operated by the Covino brothers. Ammon Covino was sent back to prison in 2015 for violating the terms of his release after he was found to be involved in the opening of the SeaQuest aquariums in Nevada and Utah.
The majority of saltwater fish and invertebrates found in aquariums are captured in the wild because they are difficult to breed in captivity. The collection of large numbers of fish and other animals for the aquarium trade is harmful to the reef ecosystem.
The touch tanks and other 'hands-on encounters' planned for SeaQuest Fort Lauderdale put animals and people at risk. Touch tanks in which animals are unable to escape constant harassment from people can severely stress the animals. Bacteria introduced to touch tank water by human hands can be harmful to animals. (Children have also developed bacterial infections after handling animals in touch tanks.)
The Galleria mall is steps away from a state park and the Atlantic Ocean, and a short drive from the Everglades. Instead of exploiting captive animals for profit, the Galleria mall should be celebrating the unique natural areas in its own backyard, where animals can be observed in their natural habitats!
