Meet Nics, short for Nicolette, the little black lab mix who’s already survived more in a year and a half than most dogs will in a lifetime. 🖤
Found wandering as a stray, dangerously underweight, and with a severely damaged eye, she still greeted us months back with gentle tail wags and soft, hopeful energy.
She’s up to 35 pounds now! She’s spayed, about 18 months old, and the kind of dog who interacts beautifully with adults, kids, and even other dogs. Despite everything she’s endured, she remains sweet, moderate-energy, and unbelievably resilient. 🐾
Nics is now awaiting veterinary intervention for her injured eye… but what she needs most is a home — even a foster — where she can finally exhale and feel safe. ❤️
To help her start strong, a free training session with Richie is included with her adoption. A small gift for a dog who has fought so hard just to still believe in people.
If you feel helpless in the face of the homeless-dog crisis, sharing Nics’ story is not a small gesture — it’s a lifeline. Sharing is how forgotten dogs get seen. Sharing is how their future changes. Sharing is how we tip the scales toward hope. ✨
If you’re interested in fostering or adopting Nics, please contact Wise Animal Rescue.
Please share her story — it’s the simplest, most powerful act of benevolent leadership. 🖤🐾
