Nationals 2023 is a wrap. To say I am surrounded by great horses is an understatement. I am blessed to have just as great people around me as horses. Special thanks to everyone that had a part in getting us here!! All the hard work showed itself, thank you R&S Paso Finos, Tonyyami Hernandez, Yami Hernandez, Nathan, Omar, Rick Shaffer, Jena Shaffer, Brooke Sampeer, Jeff Sampeer, Quinn Sampeer, Kai Sampeer, Arianna Winlack, Sophia Winlack, Jose G Diaz and last but not least Terry Wright. It definitely takes a village!
We brought five horses and ALL five horses are coming home with titles 🙏🙏🍾🏅🏆🥇🥈🥉🥇🥇🏆🏆🏆
R&S Gracie took National champion in open and amateur versatility with Quinn and Rick. Gracie also won high point Veraility horses of the year as well as Speciality horse of the year.
And third in western pleasure.
Triton De Milagro won Reserve National Champion in pleasure stallions 61-84 months and amateur pleasure stallions 61-84 months.
He was honorable mention in open performance stallions 61-84 months. And won 4th place in amateur performance 61-84 months.
Triton is now a Grand Reserve National Champion thanks to Quinn Sampeer having amazing ride in Performance Junior Youth Championship. This class was awesome class, congratulations Quinn 🏆🏆
Naiad De Milagro won third in open performance.
Her and I won and are now National champions in Amateur performance fillies 49-60 months 🥇
Chica Podersa made it to the work off with Sophia and placed 5th in the Junior pleasure c Championship!!
Doña Neva placed fourth in the pleasure mares with Tony Hernandez!
She placed fifth in performance mares with Jose Diaz!
And Arianna and Doña had an incredible show 🥇🥇🥇🏆🏆🥈 coming home as a National champion in pleasure junior 13-17 🏆
They won first again and are National Champions In Performance junior 13-17
They won Reserve in the Grand pleasure Championship 🏆
And won Grand National Championship in performance Championship 13-17. With her barn mate and friend Quinn Sampeer by her side on Triton de Milagro taking Reserve!!!! What an amazing class ❤️❤️❤️ so proud of you both !!!❤️❤️🏆🏆
I’m sure I’m forgetting a few but it was an amazing show.
Need to say a big congratulations to Kai Sampeer for winning the Grand the second year in a row 🏆🏆. So happy I am able to be here to witness ❤️

Nothing builds unshakeable confidence and work ethic like horses

“Parents, let your daughters grow up to be horse girls, because they will learn quickly and repeatedly that life isn’t fair, that hard work is often trumped by Lady Luck, and that every defeat, no matter how terrible, is temporary. Let them dream big and kick on. Let them learn confidence, grace and grit. Let them build big muscles and strong backs.

Let your daughters grow up in the barn. Let them learn that buckets need filling and stalls need cleaning, even when it’s raining, even when it’s frozen, even when they have a different idea for how the day should go.

Let them set goals and reach them. Let them set goals and fail miserably. Let them learn that, if they work incredibly hard, practice like hell, ride the best quality horse they can and take impeccable care of him, they’re sometimes going to get beat by someone with 10 times the money and one tenth the drive.

Teach them to drive trucks and trailers and ATVs. Teach them to change tires and wrap legs and give shots. And let them leave a spur mark, or a bit rub, or a bandage bow, and let them deal with the shame of causing pain to an animal they love.

Let them grow up with horses and with good horse people, because it will teach them to be humble, and to be resilient, and to be brave.”

La Rosa had a blast at the Mason Dixon show in VA this weekend.
So proud of my horses, my daughters and the whole R&S Paso Fino group.
Need to give a big thank you to Rick Shaffer, and Jena Shaffer from R&S Paso Finos and to Tony and Yami Hernandez. Our success would not be possible without all your hard work!
The horses all performed amazing. By far the most nail bitting class for us was the pleasure youth! Arianna riding Doña Neva and Sophia riding Chica Ponderosa. The two girls were called out for a fun work off. They were asked to go to the rail dismount, remount, walk halfway down the boards, back off the boards then corto the board!!
Sophia and Chica won 🥇!! Arianna and Doña taking 2nd!. They both then returned and battled in the championship. Flip flopping Arianna and Doña taking 1st, and Sophia and Chica taking 2nd.

Doña Neva placed 2nd in her pleasure class. Then went back to win 1st 🥇 in the championship with Tony Hernandez!
Doña Neva placed 1st 🥇 in performance youth class and championship with Arianna Winlack.
And took 1st 🥇 with Arianna in youth equitation.

Chica Ponderosa placed 1st 🥇 in amateur pleasure class and championship with Tony Hernandez!
Then 1st in pleasure youth and 2nd in Championship with Sophia Winlack.

Triton de Milagro took 1st 🥇 in pleasure colts and stallion class and championship with Rick Shaffer.
And took 1st 🥇 with Meghan Winlack in amateur pleasure colts and stallion class and championship.
Triton had a great ride with Quinn Sampeer in both equitation and performance youth winning 🏅 1st and 2nd.
Triton and Arianna also won a 1st and a 2nd in horsemanship.

R&S Gracie had good rides with Arianna Winlack in equitation and pleasure youth.

Naiad de Milagro took the blue in both open and amateur performance. With Rick Shaffer and Meghan Winlack.

Exhausting but successfully show for La Rosa de La Montaña.
R&S Gracie placed 2nd in Open trail, 1st in Amateur trail. 1st in Open and Amateur Versatility. And 1st in Open and Amateur Western Pleasure.
Chica Podersa won 1st place Pleasure Mares 85 months and older. Amateur Pleasure Mares 85 months and older and Youth pleasure. And the three Championship classes.
Triton de Milagro placed 1st in Performance colts/stallion 49-60 months and Amateur Performance colts/ stallion 49-60 months and 1st in both the Championships.

Chica had a wonderful show. She was ridden in Open Pleasure Mares 85 months and older, Amateur Pleasure Mares 85 months and older and youth pleasure. She won the three classes and the the three Championships. Special thanks to Tony Hernandez, Yami Hernandez and Jimmy Bedoya #1 🙏🐴
