Our Meant To Be Farm crew had a fun and successful final CHJA show of the season at ! As always they put on a relaxed and positive show experience!

Kensie rode Reggie to champion in the pile of poles and her sister Brinkley topped the 18” with a champion as well. It been so exciting to see their progress this season and these champion prizes were well deserved.

Payton rode Fiona in the crossrails with some great ribbons, but most importantly huge improvements. Piloting a green pony is never easy and there are always new challenges to which Payton faces with poise. The judge even commented on their excellent turnout, what an honor.

Elisebeth and Arlow rode in the 2’6/2’9. He has made some great improvements in ride-ability and consistency with the limited showing this year. He nailed his flat and earned reserve champion.

We also welcomed Charlotte and her Mt Bierstadt to join us. Charlotte was a pleasure to work with and had some great flowing rounds in the 2’6/2’9. Thank you to her coach Natasha Anderson for trusting me with assisting her!

It was such a fun day to get to ride and show with my girls. These young ladies held positive attitudes and excellent horsemanship skills all day. I’m so grateful to call this my job. Special thanks to Frederik for hauling our horses in style and cheering on the team. Here’s to our next season!

Thanks to .j.classics for keeping us looking tip top.

We had so much fun at our 3rd annual Halloween Horse Show. It was a perfect weather day filled with friends, snacks and our horses.

Brinkley, Kensie, Sofia and Payton all had some beautiful rounds in the cross rails. Puff even got to do his first courses of crossrails. Payton won the costume contest with Fiona (a unicorn 🦄)

Rose rode Chester in the pile of poles, for her first time in the show ring! Karen took Lily around the 2’ height. These ladies have been working hard and it shows.

It was so much fun to see everyone’s costumes and enjoy a fun causal horse show. Special thank you to Deb for coming and judging again! Thank you to everyone that came and supported in and out of the saddle. I’m looking forward to our next one!!

Proud Breeder Moment
💝

I love seeing my kids growing and learning! All 3 of these Charlottes babies are growing up to be amazing horses and ponies.

Charlotte consistently passes on her sweet and calm demeanor, leading to very easy to train and smart students. I love how easily these guys tackle new situations effortlessly.

Calvin had his first time with his owner Courtney aboard and was cool calm and collected. Louie has his first kid ride, both were all smiles. And of course our sweet Fiona is loving teaching Payton the ropes of jumping. This all makes my heart full.

Looking for your next unicorn? We are expecting another foal by Chacco Rico in 2025. Recently confirmed a big healthy baby. 💝

Our youngsters had a fun day going through the jump chute! We have not set one since last year and everyone remembered exactly what to do. For her first time trying it out, June really impressed us with her form. It was so fun seeing these babies having fun, playing and learning.

The jump chute is not something that we ever put too much pressure on, and the goal is not to test their max heights. It is just a fun and rewarding exercise to practice once or twice a year. Additionally, it’s a great way to continue to build a relationship with your horse on the ground and in hand.

Young and developing horses/ponies such as June are never put through with much more than crossrails of 12-15”. Our older horses jumped 2’3 to 2’6 although they clearly had scope for more.

Who do you think jumped best?

Carry On the Charades “Calvin” 2 years old
Limelight “Louie” 3 years old
Candescent “Puff” 3 years old

2024 Chestnut filly
Chacco Ricco (Charles Blue PS) x Charade

We are so thrilled with our recent Westfalen inspection. Consistent top scores across the board for this premium filly. At only 7 weeks old she definitely didn’t have the maturity of others in this inspection tour but Otto loved her.

Not only does this filly have a gorgeous toe flicking trot and a floating canter, but she is the absolute sweetest baby. She always brings a smile to my face.

Her full sibling is currently available in utero for a super deal. Sure to be a flashy one!!

What an amazing week we had in Estes Park. This show has long since been a favorite of mine since my first time showing with my first horse, Bardic Bay. This year I got to share it with my best friends, my students, their wonderful families, and my homebred horses and ponies. I could not ask for a better dream to achieve!
I’m proud to say the stallions stole the show this time!

KNJ DreamKhatcher was champion in the .70m jumpers touting his usual perfect ring side manners and adorable pony charm. He received so many compliments. I am blessed and honored that his owners Kara & John Creswell of Cheyenne, WY entrust me with his care and development.

Candescent was a super star. For his first venture off property under tack he was flawless. He was a perfect gentleman all week and stepped up to trying out some poles and cross rails. I was elated to see my best friend Courtney pilot him in his first classes.

Astounding was his usual goofy and silly self with his antics but jumped his heart out to some great ribbons in the 2’6/2’9 hunters. Without time to show much earlier this season nor prepare he was truly wonderful.

Fan Mail was beautifully piloted by young rider Payton O’Connor. This duo has never experienced a big show, nonetheless together and they really showed what the future holds! Some lovely ribbons in the cross rails were received.

Regal silhouette was a rock star with two sisters Brinkley and Kensie Wenning. For their first big show, sharing a horse, they were fabulous earning reserve champion in the cross rails together. Thank you to owner Rebecca C***a for sharing Reggie with us.

Chics Smoken Chance teamed with Sofia Robinson were on fire. Sofia rode with poise and intention all week. They earned great ribbons together in the cross rails. Sofia has been working hard and it showed. We are grateful for the Pearson family for sharing Chance with us!!

Shelby Burleson also brought along two of her gorgeous Holsteiner mares for show experience. We had fun taking Mattie and Story for rides around the show all week. Thank you to Shelby for trusting me with the development of young Story. She is available to a new show home.

The 3 year olds had a great outing at the Colorado Spring Final Show.

Candescent ( by Creme de la Creme ) won his 3 year old class and snagged Best Young Horse 💛

Limelight ( Lands End Love Note) also won his 3 year old class and took home Best Young Pony 💚

It’s never a true show day without some mishaps, but so glad we made the trip. We are looking forward to now developing their under saddle careers!

First show in the books for the boys!
Despite a rough start to the morning and a lack of ability to settle, the boys were stars!

Candescent “Puff” was his usually cool calm self winning the 3rd old class.
Carry On the Charades “ Calvin” owned and show by Courtney Audino was a true gentleman receiving 3rd in the 2 year olds.
Limelight “Louie” was a bit spooked by the scary jumps and foliage but he sure looked cute winning his pony classes.

Thanks to everyone who helps keep this team glowing and cared for.

Meant To Be riders had a wonderful outing last week at the Gold Crest Charity Challenge!

Karen and Lilly (owned by Denise White) dusted off the showing cobwebs and earned a reserve champion in the 18” including a 1st in the Eq! This was Lilly’s first over fence and she rose to the challenge bravely! I’ve loved watching their partnership grow over the last few years and I am so grateful to have Karen as a heart and soul member of Meant To Be Farm.

Arlow and Elisebeth had to do some confidence re-building after the last show where Arlow had some struggles. After regaining his confidence, he floated around beautifully in the 2’6-2’9 open hunters with a 2nd in the super fun Under Saddle Derby class. I truly love competing with him. He has so much game!

Payton and Fiona earned a reserve champion in the pile of poles. For such a young duo, they sure are figuring out the show ring together. It is such a joy to see such a dedicated young rider bond with one of my home bred ponies.

Sophia and Chance earned several seconds among other good ribbons in the pile of poles! While Chance is still green to showing, Sophia takes everything in stride with a smile.

I am so grateful to have such a talented, hardworking and kind group of riders to work with. It’s so rewarding to see our young horses and riders progressing and having fun. Thank you so much to the parents that help behind the scenes and our wonderful support group of barn mates that come cheer us on. Thank you to Jenny Alsberg for running such a wonderful show.

We look forward to bringing a big group to the Four Winds Outreach next weekend!

Thank you to our sponsors! .j.classics

Starting and working with young horses is one of my greatest passions!
❤️🖤🤍
This month we welcomed “Story”, a coming 4 year old Holsteiner mare by Cornet Obolensky bred by Tempus Fugit Farm. Im excited and honored to be trusted with her development.

I’ve also had the pleasure of working with my own youngsters, Puff and Louie, slowly starting their under saddle careers. It’s hard to believe they started as just a dream.

If you are looking for a place to start your young horse or further develop them towards a hunter/jumper or dressage career, I would love to help you!

I also have two in utero foal options at a steal of a deal if you’d like your very own perfect unicorn.

Consistency is paying off for our horses and riders through the winter months! I’m so impressed with all the hard work and dedication I have seen from my students in preparation for the coming show season! Here are a few of the recent highlights!

Some of our newest riders, Ada, Emma, Maya and Callie are working on learning the basics of horsemanship and fundamentals. Matilda and Karina have started going over poles and cantering solo. It is so fun to see these girls tackle each new challenge along the way! Our more seasoned riders like Anjoli and Kinley have been working on strengthening their positions and their efforts are shining. I’m so honored to be a part of their journeys.

This month we started up several new leases for the show season. Mari is teamed up with her bff Scarlett. Payton and Fiona are also a super cute new combo! Sophia is leasing for her first time and really vibes with Chance! Stay tuned for new matches next month too!!

Let’s not forgot our AA ladies( aka treat givers)! I absolutely love my adult lessons! Krissy has been crushing her goals and started over cross rails! It’s also been a pleasure to welcome Rachael and her horse King. Special thanks to my right hand Courtney for riding the special boy Arlow and helping me keep everyone worked both in and out of the tack.

Our young horses have also been getting some extra attention in preparation for the show season. Lots of long lining, in hand practice and spa days for those under 3. Louie and Puff have lightly begun under saddle work. June has been proudly wearing her bridle and practicing her best manners.

I am incredibly grateful to have such a great group of riders, their supportive families, and of course our wonderful horses along side me! I am so proud of each and every one of my students. It is so rewarding to see all of the progress!

Too many photos to share everyone so here are a few favorites from the past few weeks!

Meant To Be riders have been polishing their skills in and out of the show ring!

Last weekend we attended the CSU Equestrian Team show with the adorable pairs of Chance & Sophia and Mari & Scarlett. The show presented many challenges ( scary arena and a blizzard! ) but both girls rode through it and gave their horses excellent experiences. Sophia finished with a few pink ribbons for her first ever show out of huge classes! I was most proud to see the team work displayed by older sister Kinley. Even though she wasn’t showing she helped in every aspect of the day!!

At home our riders have really been working on finding their independent seat and building strength and confidence.
Featuring : Anjolie looking flawless in her position on Chance.
Matilda smiling after her first canter on Cass.
Brinkley confidently and beautifully piloting Reggie.
And lastly, one of our newest riders Emma, learning the fundamentals!

It is an honor to share my knowledge and passion with my students. I am so thrilled with the supportive and dedicated team we have now. I’m excited for the futures of these young riders. Thank you to my clients for trusting me with the development of these horses and riders.

First show of the season is in the books and lots of firsts for the team! We had a great time at Gold Crest’s schooling show at the spacious and warm Messer Arena.

Krissy and Grayson “ Mr Extraordinary Gift” had a great first show! We are so proud of how far this duo has come in only a few months. Krissy achieved her goal of cantering the courses, in great form too.

Fiona “ Fan Mail” got to compete in her first show under saddle. With her young rider Payton, they rode beautifully in the pile of poles! Elisebeth finished the day off in the 18” with great rounds! We are so pleased with how well this young pony is doing. Definitely an old soul!

We are so excited to keep the ball rolling- stay tuned for all the new horses and riders we have to bring to the circuit this season!

Congratulations 💙❤️💛

What a wonderful year for our horses and riders!

Arlow, in his first year of showing, jumped his way to champion in the 2’6-2’9 Open Hunter after moving up to that height over halfway through the year. He consistently improved each show and proved he is really a show boy!

Puff was his cool calm self and won his way to the top of the 2 year olds, even placing 13th nationally.

Calvin received a 3rd in the zone standings for the yearlings. Louie and Fiona earned 4ths in their respective age groups with only one show attended.

My outreach riders had an excellent season! I am so excited to see their hard work to be rewarded next year when we can hit a few more shows!
