I have been trained by top professionals in the grooming and showing industry. My Pet Spa offers all types of grooming from basic clip downs for summer to the highest quality/show worthy competitive grooming in the area. We also can add creative touches to your pet (a touch of color or bling can make your pet stand out no matter what haircut you choose). I have been grooming for 26 years and have
a life time of experience in the professional handling of animals. I am a 3rd Generation Pet Professional and Business Owner. Starting with both of my Grandparents on both sides who raised and sometimes showed dogs of various breeds. My Grandparents were very instrumental in introducing my parents to each other. They married and raised English Bulldogs. I never new a day with out a pet by my side. As a child I raised and/or handled daily; rabbits, chickens, dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, goats, a pig, snakes (YES I said snakes, brought them home regularly), game birds, cattle, and especially horses (my first real love). I had been there for all life stages from birth/hatching to their last days of the senior years. If it was an animal I tried to "make it my friend". My goal is to pass my love for animals and the knowledge of how to care for them to my children and any pet owner who crosses my path. Along with raising dogs, I also work hard in rescue and/or rehoming pets. I am a huge believer in spaying and neutering pets, yet also believe in the preservation of our purebred dogs through responsible and healthy breeding programs. I breed and am starting to show Standard Poodles. MY GOALS FOR THE FUTURE
I am looking forward to adding training (agility, obedience, Canine Good Citizen, puppy classes, etc) and doggie daycare. It is very rewarding to be able to work with and handle a dog that wants to "work" or play. Pets that are exercised regularly and allowed to use ALL of their muscles (especially the most important muscle, their BRAIN), are happy, healthy and have a FULL life. Can you imagine being in a room all day long laying around waiting for company to come. And then, "Yeah! They're here. Let's party, let's play!" BUT WAIT! They're too tired, too busy. They're in a hurry to let you out to go potty and then that's it. Unfortunately, that's most of our lives and our dogs lives. That's why fido is destructive, runs off, doesn't listen, jumps on everyone, soils the kennel or the house, is a general "bad dog". Most dogs can run for miles without a flinch. "Have 4 legs, will travel. Have a sensitive nose, will follow it." How do you get your pet to stay by your side? You have to make what you have for him MUCH more rewarding than what's out there and give him an outlet for ALL of the energy that's built up in ALL of his muscles, including the brain. Make everyday a new day and have fun with you pet.
