We dont deal with birds here at the tannery but here's some advice from the wise to all you birds hunters out there looking to get a nice bird mount

Just wanted to take the opportunity to show you why I prefer that you wrap damp paper towels around the head, as well as inserting one inside the bill,before freezing. Not only does it protect from freezer burn but in cases like this, it will help the bird from getting bloody during the defrost/skinning period. This bird was bleeding profusely from his mouth and as you can see, it caused a big mess.
