To the community we supported, Its with sadness we announce Furever Companion has closed. We started this endeavor to help, care,and importantly celebrate the memory or our dearly loved
Trigger. We made a difference in the lives of many and that comforts us. Moreover, we are thankful to the community who gave us the opportunity to help in the mix of a complex Covid business environment. We are Fur-Ever appreciative of this experience. The nose and paw🐾 prints will endure in our hearts. Yesterday, we donated our Furever blankets to our local pet shelter.

Thank you Trigger for giving us the motivation to care and share compassion to this community.

In closing, we would love for someone in the Tega Cay or Fort Mill area repurpose the Facebook account in a creative way. Please message us with your ideas if you have interest.

“Pets, it turns out, also have last wishes before they die, but only known by veterinarians who put old and sick animals to sleep. Twitter user Jesse Dietrich asked a vet what was the most difficult part of his job.

The specialist answered without hesitation that it was the hardest for him to see how old or sick animals look for their owners with the eyes of their owners before going to sleep. The fact is that 90 % of owners don't want to be in a room with a dying animal. People leave so that they don't see their pet leave. But they don't realize that it's in these last moments of life that their pet needs them most.

Veterinarians ask the owners to be close to the animals until the very end. ′′It's inevitable that they die before you. Don't forget that you were the center of their life. Maybe they were just a part of you. But they are also your family. No matter how hard it is, don't leave them.

Dont let them die in a room with a stranger in a place they dont like. It is very painful for veterinarians to see how pets cannot find their owner during the last minutes of their life. They dont understand why the owner left them. After all, they needed their owner’s consolation.

Veterinarians do everything possible to ensure that animals are not so scared, but they are completely strangers to them. Don't be a coward because it's too painful for you. Think about the pet. Endure this pain for the sake of their sake. Be with them until the end.”

October is National Animal Safety and Protection Month. They are so much more than just pets; they are family!

A few safety tips for your companion's protection include:
1. Keep pets indoors at home in a sheltered, quiet area.
2. Find a pet sitter if you’re spending the day away from home.
3. Provide a safe place.
4. License and microchip your pet. I
5. Make sure your pets are wearing identification tags, so if they do become lost, they can be returned promptly.
6. Use a leash or carrier when transporting your pet.
7. Talk to your veterinarian if you know your dog has anxiety.
8. Keep sparklers, glow sticks, charcoal, food scraps and kabob skewers away from curious pets.

As the 20 year mark of this day of terror is upon us remember to teach our children the cost of freedom and pray for all who passed and had lives change.
Also remember and thank all our heroes and service dogs (over 300) who tirelessly worked and served. From grim recovery efforts to special operations in search of terrorist. These furry heroes deserve to be remembered as well.
