These two sweet 12 week old puppies were left out in the freezing rain last night abandoned in a parking lot. Dr. Marlowe’s dear friend rescued them and gave them food and shelter. Unfortunately, she is unable to keep them and is looking for homes for these sweet little girls. We would like to only adopt out to current clients or direct reference from clients. We wanted to make our folks aware of a deadly emerging disease in kitty cats, H5N1. Most of our clients know that we do support raw diets. However, until we have more answers to this outbreak it would be wise to switch to cooked foods and canned diets. We are diligently researching and staying abreast of this current situation.

Since the U.S. outbreak of avian influenza A (H5N1) in dairy cattle began in March 2024, dozens of cats are known to have contracted the virus, including barn and feral cats, indoor cats, and big cats in zoos and in the wild (e.g., mountain lions, tigers, leopards, and bobcats).

Patient of the day. Jovanni is a rare breed called a Bergamasco Sheepdog, a herding dog from Italy. These dogs have “dreadlocks” or mats that will reach the ground. Jovanni was full of energy and spunk for his exam today.

Patient of the day. Duke is a very sweet gentle giant that will give big kisses. He loves his acupuncture. He looks very handsome in his reindeer jammies.

Patient of the day. Julio is a sweet puppy who cannot stand being alone. So while in the hospital he got to spend the entire day tied to Laurie. They are currently best friends.
