New baby
Two spicy kitties weren't enough! This baby was brought into the hospital today to be treated for mange. The woman bringing him in mentioned she caught him to get him TNR'd and tried to contact Fortunate Ferals, but as we aren't operating fully until September she was very lucky to happen to find me! 😻 So he is being treated for mange and will come home with me for a while so he can grow and get ready to be neutered!
In the mean time I'll go through the normal feral kitten routine and hopefully in a couple weeks he will be at the same level as the others and being prepared for getting adopted ❣️ Wish us luck!!!
Spicy kitty
Every now and then someone new will show up to the ferall colony that I manage. This guy has been coming around the last couple days and today his curiosity finally got the better of him and he went into my trap 😻 we already have three appointments scheduled for tomorrow and I am on my way now to trap the three to fill that spot so keep paws crossed that I call in the morning in the Humane Society has some extra spots open!

Today's spicy kitten update!
The initial process of socializing kittens is hard to film because it is essentially wrapping them in a blanket and carrying them around to get used to people. Now that we're beyond that and they're only hissing, and not swatting and biting, when I reach for them, we can update more frequently to show progress.
It might look similar to yesterday but everyday I can see them becoming more relaxed. They are doing so well and we'll on their way to friendly! ❣️
Spicy kittens
The kittens are doing fantastic but are still being as spicy as ever. We're getting better day by day and I think in a week or so will be able to see some real progress! They're both girls and have very healthy appetite. I think they'll be wonderful candidates for adoption ❣️😻
This is why we do what we do!
Meet Miss Juli who was TNR’ed in Sept of 2020.
TNR has allowed Juli to continue to live outdoors and live her best life without adding to the cat overpopulation crisis.
She has the best parents who love and care for her! In this video Juli is playing with her new catnip toy. 😻
A cat’s value should not decrease simply because they are an outdoor cat. ❤️
This is why we TNR! ❤️😻
Lil Bit LOVES to play with clothes 🐱👚😻❤️
Lil Bit ❤️ She LOVES to play with clothes 💕 Thank you to Kaitlyn Marie Knoll for giving Lil Bit the best home she could ask for! ❤️You are amazing! ❤️💕
Mr. Mange
Mr. Mange is new to a colony that we've done before. He showed up with pretty bad mange and has been giving it to the other colony members. He has now had two treatments of oral ivermectin and should be good as new in a few weeks! And the rest of the colony has begun medication and should also be protected from mange now.
TNR works! ❤️
TNR playing
I am out trapping at a neighborhood we have completed aside from 2 cats. These two have already been done. This is the magic of TNR! They can play together and not sorry about fighting over food or hormones being out of control ❤️
Oxygen babies
A mama cat came in with her dad concerned about active labor but unsure of the timeline of her conception. She indeed was in labor and had an emergency c section that resulted in 5 preemie babies. One was stillborn and the other passed away shortly after the umbilical cord was cut. The three remaining babies were placed on high flow oxygen to give their tiny lungs a chance to perk up and get moving. These three and mama went home to be together and did well on discharge! ⭐
Kitty trapping
I've never seen a net trap used so swiftly and perfectly 😹 I did not expect to do trapping at work this morning 🤭
