Hello Thanks for Looking at our page We created this page to interact with other Breeders and like minded individuals to grow our knowledge. I always wanted Emus after meeting a friend's Emu I fell in love , so after getting some property my first mission was to get a pair of emus. We owned Emus!! and learning very quickly that we were not ready to securely keep them and that it was now a mission

to build a enclosure. Many tough days and Weekends was put into building the fencing and cages to properly house the Emus , and after 2 more birds and lots of learning we now have a mature pair of breeding Emus that are now producing fertile Eggs � and babies �. Our Male "Bobby" came from a reputable breeder in North fl and our female "Cardie" came from Okeechobee and have been together since they were about 6 months old, they are now a little over 3 yrs old. After success of breeding Emus we realized we need to come up with a farm name and something to represent us when we sell our babies. A good friend of mine Tyler aka "Gucci" helps me out alot around here especially with the Emus so we came up with the name of B & G's Emu Compound . we are looking forward to growing our farm � in the future, and you never know what may come next �� . We are also beginning to breed rare chickens we will make post in the future with what particular breeds we will have available thanks and we look forward to seeing ya.

We have a standard that just hatched this morning. This guy was ready to hatch notice there isn't any yolk sack showing and all of it has been absorbed. This egg also hatched on the expected day @ 52 days exactly from the day being set. I have finally dialed the incubator in perfectly it sits right at 98% and 25% humidity those are my key numbers. We also are not so exact on keeping the humidity perfectly right , there's some mornings it's down in the 19-20% range when it's out of water but I believe the key is to not let the humidity sit in the higher %s . I think anything over 27% humidity is dangerous. I belive it's okay to let it dip down to 20 or so then correct as needed. We have Blondes and Standards available pm me thanks.

Just some discussion and facts on our emus....
We have 6 emus 3 of each S*x named
1. Cardi B = Standard Female 6 yrs old
2. Bobby = Standard Male 6 yrs old
3. Marley = Standard Male 3 yrs old (offspring of Cardi & Bobby )
4. Uma = Blonde Male 3 yrs old
5. Bitchy Blonde = Blonde Female 3 yrs old
6.Dori = Standard Female 3 yrs old.

Here's some interesting behavior we caught between a male(Marley) and female(Dori) today that I thought I'd share. -
Just a FYI Marley is being outcasted by the mob currently and is not breeding with anyone - it just seems out of 6 birds total between 3 of em 2 males and 1 female one of them always has to be the bad guy and it happens to change seasonally.
These Two typically do not get along at all, and I mean like cannot be within 10 ft of one another or they fight and Dori typically whoops his ass. Here Marley shows dominance over his egg that he found that one of the other females(Bitchy Blonde) just laid that he insist to sit on badly, she knows she's barking up the wrong tree today and leaves him alone however I've come to steal the treasure.

This year has been Awsome , we are beyond excited every egg that has hatched so far has produced a Blonde!!! We are on baby #3 and we have our fingers crossed for a White this year.

Baby Emu @ 5 days old and boy did he hit the ground running

This was our very first baby that we hatched were currently waiting for the DNA results to know if it's a Boy or a Girl there's no choosing around here lol , then off to they're new homes. it's gonna be hard to part with these little buggers
