๐ŸŽ…Thank you to ALL who donated toys for Toys for Tots AND all who participated in our Annual Raffle! With your support we were able to provide Caloosa Humane Society and Veterinary Clinic with a generous donation. Unfortunately we are STILL dealing with these phone issues, please text us with non-emergent requests at (239) 990-8488. We will respond as promptly as possible. You are welcome to still call us, but know the phone call may disconnect. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

11/11/2024

We are open today but ever since the last hurricane we are experiencing increasing problems with our phone lines which result in dropped or unanswered calls. We have had multiple people from the company to come "fix" the issue but it is still a problem. Please be patient with us and we will reach out via text or email if we know of any missed or dropped calls. If needed our email is [email protected]. Thank you for your patience and understanding. ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

Today Turbo crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. She was the CIC (Cat In Charge) of Fort Myers Veterinary Hospital for over 18 years. She was rescued as a kitten from the streets of Ft. Myers. She lived with a diagnosis of FIV all those years and was an example of how well cats with that diagnosis can do. Turbo served as a greeter at the clinic, but woe to those who tried to pet her if she was not in the mood! She was an excellent paperweight and helped test the limits of how computers work when inundated with cat hair. She was a mighty hunter who would defend the office from stray pens and random candies.
We will miss her.

RIP Turbo 2006-2024

๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ท Fourth of July is right around the corner. This article gives some good tips on how to prepare for the loud noises ๐ŸŽ†to come! Call us for any medication refills or requests. :)

While fireworks are great July 4th fun for most people, many pets can be terrified and are given calming chews for their stress. Click the link below to find out what happened when two curious pets ingested an entire bottle of 160 calming chews in this monthโ€™s edition of Toxin Tails:

Happy First Day of Summer!!

Do you plan on spending lots of time in the sun and great outdoors with your dog? Remember that if they have exposed skin, they can get sunburned. Should you use a human sunscreen on them?
NO!
Most human sunscreens have ingredients that can make your dog ill if they lick it. There is a brand of DOG sunscreen that is labeled as FDA compliant. (Do not use anything on cats unless labeled specifically for them)
Another way to protect your pet would be to use UV protective clothing or to avoid taking your pet outside from 10am - 3pm when the sun is the strongest.

Stay safe out there! ๐Ÿ˜Ž ๐Ÿ• โ˜€๏ธ โ›ฑ๏ธ
