I just thought I'd share.

This photo was taken in Colorado, my last session with Josh and the first time I took off her bridle. I ditched the rope later because she was better with just my legs. Elektra was 3 years old when this picture was taken, almost 14 years ago. She's done more for me over the years then I can think. Sometimes she gave me trouble but mostly she has been the best. I rode her today and even though I had to keep her moving, if you've ridden you know 🤣, she felt really good which made me happy. Her lope was amazing! When I get on her I feel like I belong there. It's hard to watch your loved ones, even animals, get older, lose their youth. But there's something about this older version of her that I love more. She had soundness issues for a while now, on and off, and right now she's on and in a great place. I know it won't last but, she's mine forever!
