This my friend and fellow horsewoman Sheila Jenkins. She and her family have lost everything including their home in Hurricane Helene. Shelia and I were classmates in the Equine Science program University of Florida together. She is a wife, mother and avid equestrian. ATTENTION! A few announcements! We are opening sign-ups back up until Friday as we know many of you have been without power due to hurricane Helene. We are also working through our riders logs and shipping out ribbons. Please be patient with us as we are trying to figure out if any of these entries are in the affected areas of the hurricanes path where the mail will not be received yet. We are trying to get a hold of those individuals and know that we will hold onto those packages for them and ship them as soon as the Postal Service is back up and running. Not to take away from our current challenge that just started today, “Ride for Down Syndrome”, but we are going to introduce, our next challenge spoiler alert a little early as the theme is “Ride for Humanity”. We feel that this really falls in alignment with the tragic events of the hurricane and hope to help our fellow equestrians that have been affected by the hurricane. Please stay tuned for ways you can help.

What did you do over the weekend? We participated in an insightful horsemanship training clinic with Mark Langley Horsemanship at Serendipity Dressage and Rough Diamond Ranch. Thanks Stephany Fish Crossman for hosting such great events! Mark was here on tour from Australia. We are happy we snagged a spot before he returns!
