She was such a good girl! Watch our groomer Gabi scissor Fanciโs legs, top knot and ears ๐
Get a look into the place where grooming magic happens! At the end you get to see a little sneak peek of what our daycare area is gonna look like too ๐
During this uncertain time we are very understanding that bringing your pup in to get groomed may be very difficult for a number of reasons.
Matting causes uncomfortable pulling on the skin, lack of airflow to the area, and trying to remove matting can be very painful. For this reason, we start fresh with matted dogs by shaving them down, allowing their coat to grow back and keep everyone on a schedule that works best for their pup to maintain the length that is desired.
However, in understanding that this is a difficult time for many, if you are unable to bring your dog for an appointment with us we have made some videos to show you how you can properly brush your dog at home to keep them with as minimal matting as possible to keep their skin healthy and to stay comfortable.
This post will be updated later on this week to include different coat lengths/types and areas that are typically kept longer like the ears and tail.
The type of brush we recommend is called a slicker brush. Areas that get matted often are behind the ears and under the armpits. These small areas should be given a good amount of attention since they are high-friction areas!
If you have any questions about brushing or how to remove matting that may have already formed, please ask! We are here to help you and keep you informed.
Thank you so much to all of our lovely clients for being understanding and patient during this uncertain time.
