Special Equestrians, Inc. enjoyed a wonderful workday with our Gateway Trinity Lutheran Church friends. This dynamic group beautified our center for their annual service retreat event. They also enjoyed meeting a few of our horses and observed a driving practice session. Thank you, Gateway Trinity Lutheran Church, E.L.C.A.!

Special Equestrians, Inc. had a wonderful day with our friends at the Southwest Florida Dressage Association Horse Show at Hidden Haven Ranch this past Saturday. We were grateful for the opportunity to host the charity lunch and seeing many of our PATH Intl. certified instructors earning points for the SE Stablemates Team was a great moment. Volunteers were also in attendance, cheering on riders and enjoying the equestrian community. We are eagerly looking forward to our upcoming events that we shared with the crowd and can't wait for SWFDA's March show!

Trailing a new, young, older, show, or hot horse can be challenging.🐎 Entering the trailhead with eager adventures and seasons trail riders can be intimidating! However, nothing is better than hitting the trails with your beloved mount and taking in the beauty and solace of natural settings, so don't hesitate to sign up. 🐴🌸🌈🦋☀️🌿 This year, Ride-A-Thon carved out the short trail, which provides a private trailhead and meanders the much-loved Duck Pond, 🦆designed for those wanting a ride down an easy street! The Short Trail is featured in our first-ever Corporate Sponsorship package, too. 💸The long trail will tentatively close around 11:00 am, and the Medium trail will close around 11:30 am, so please plan accordingly. However, the Short Trail will take about an hour and stay open until about 1:00 pm, so die-hard riders are welcome to wind down and stroll around Duck Pond. We have something for everyone and are open to the public, so SHARE, SHARE, SHARE! 🙏🏼💪🙏🏼 Our riders can't wait to showcase their equestrian skills near the food pavilion. Special Equestrians, Inc. volunteers and instructors enjoyed an enrichment ride today! After some lift training and a warmup in the arena, they walked the beautiful 15-acre property. Trail riding can provide mental stimulation, physical fitness, and desensitization while building confidence, preventing boredom, and breaking routines. It was a relaxing activity for humans and the herd. We observed many releases in the horses and figured out quickly who our leaders and followers were. We ended with a cruise around the sensory trail. It was mentally stimulating for horses and riders and the perfect way to welcome 2025!
